Anyone knows anything about hose insulation within the engine compartment - like the ones to cover either a water hose, gasoline hose, A/C hose or electrical wiring conduit - that is really heat resistant?

I've seen those colored ones used in display cars at the shows but have not seen them in stores?

Do you know where to get them and how much? Which brand?

    Many thanks.

hmm im sure meron mas mura pero Concorde has it.

actually, they're purely cosmetic, there's no reason for your OEM hoses to melt under normal conditions.

I think Hyperparts carry an extensive line-up for colored hose sleeves / jackets.

And yes... they are for aesthetic purposes only.

I came across Thermo Tec's Thermo Sleeve and it seems to be perfect, I was hoping someone would know of other brands.
    http://www.speedzone24-7.com/thermo-sleeve.htm
I notice the spark plug wires and ignition coil wires getting really hot.
Also the wiring harness' sort of electrical tape insulation gets brittle because of the heat in the engine and when under the sun.
Also want to upgrade the dirty look of the A/C hose insulation....
    Thanks for your input.

ERL Motorwerx carries Thermo Tec hose sleeves in various sizes. ERL is in C. Benitez St. near P. Tuazon (horseshoe drive).

    Speedyfix,
    many thanks for your input.
btw. is that your shop offering the oil change promo?
do you have the bmw oil filters so i can announce to bmw club forum?
or you can say, they just bring their own filter and you do the rest for something less that 2100. bmw filters are at least 400-500, and the 6-cyl cars drink more than a gallon of oil, almost 2.
