    Don't forget also to test also the continuity of carbon rotor contact of distributor cap...Loose contact will cause weak high voltage transferred to spark plug and also cause overheating of your ignition coil. Resistance should between 0 ohm to 300 ohms. Test point would be the button contact and high voltage post of distributor cap..

    Test the spark intensity with a spark tester similar to this:

    If it can jump this gap chances are you have enough voltage to run the car efficiently

    Just thought i'd give some closure to this thread....

    So i finally called in a mechanic last week to check the car. Surprise surprise, it ran without issues. He actually commented na maganda pa nga raw yung takbo :0

    Ang sabi ng mekaniko, baka me bara lang daw somewhere sa fuel/carb, and to just let it run idle every day for 30min or so, para matanggal yung bara. He also said not so load up on unleaded fuel, nakakabara daw?

    Anyways, i'll observe for a week, then i-test drive ako around the block.

    palitan mo high tension cable, clean/change spark plugs. observebkung mag ok.
