^ bili na ng EFI. Hehe.

Anyway, my thoughts would be the carb should be opened up, cleaned and overhauled if it has never been touched for quite some time. Had a similar issue with our Sentra years ago, after it was stored for a time. Had to replace the fuel, overhaul the carb and tune.

    And the saga continues...

So i had the carb cleaned out...nung pagbukas we did see some gel inside, but not really that much. Unfortunately the problem didn't go away, this time namamatay na siya habang tumatakbo. i had left the engine idle for more than 15 minutes so i doubt if it's just cold start issues.

    In summary:

    - fuel filter replaced
    - recently had the clutch replaced
    - carb cleaned(not overhauled)

What other things should i look at? Could it be something with the ignition, e.g. contact point, condenser, etc? Sabi naman ng mekaniko OK pa yung contact point. Madali lang naman palitan yung condenser, but i'd like to ask the resident gurus first.

Sorry sirs walang pera pambili ng bago ^_^

    tia

Again, check the ignition. Check the output at the spark plug end of the hi tension wires. The spark should be bluish white, if it is somewhat orange, the spark intensity is weak and can not provide sufficient voltage to ignite the air/fuel mixture with increasing heat, pressure and lean air/fuel mixture. Check this first. An evidence of weak spark is carbon fouling of the plugs. Dalhin mo sa tuli na mekaniko o sa trained technician

Sorry failed to mention: aside from the fuel filterand carb napalitan na rin yung sparkplugs and high tension wires.

I read that if the engine dies suddenly, it's most likely to be caused by something eletrical, not fuel related as it would sputter then die. I am starting to suspect the ingition coil. I've observed ovet the years that

    - after parking the car after a long drive, mahirap ipastart uli(although it starts ups eventually)
    - i've noticed when starting parang me pause before you hear the engine turning. It's gotten more frequent lately

Also, the chassis around the engine bay seems to get hotter faster then usual.
