You can buy fuel hose from auto supply, just bring your sample.. or try checking power steering hose shops they have various hose available

The SAE J30r10 won't work for you? Gates should be available.

    here's the situation,

the fuel tank is part of the structure and the cavity it goes into is very friggin' tight. the fuel hose it came with is shrunk fit to the plastic fuel canister fitting. the space between the tank and the floor/frame cross member is tight.
the hose it is equipped with it is a 5/16" nylon that is pre shaped into a tight curve for a little flexibility when installing the fuel tank back into the cavity.
the engineers at lotus designed it that whether you install this hose, or the fuel pump you either remove the convertible top to remove the driver's seat to gain access to the panel above the fuel tank when it is installed. but to replace the hose or the fuel pump, you still have to drop the stainless steel fuel pump. o, the other option i did, i dropped the fuel tank to gain access. mind you, you can't see the fitting to disconnect it. there is very lited space. if your hand is big, or your wrist is not flexible, it will be more challenging. you can find lotus elise fuel tank replacement on youtube. they abbreviated their procedure and they make it look too simple. i am planning of having the fuel hose fabricated in london. even lotus dealerships around england don't have it.

These Brits, they complicate the simple. I thought the R53 had some of the dumbest engineering....twas obviously intentional to discourage DIYers...but what you just shared seem a lot worse. Wish you luck!

    hahahahahaha

not everything is as simple as a jeepney afterall.
i had a co-worker who had just been hired. asked him how much experience he had and he told me over twenty years in manila. this was in another country. so, as a lead tech, i gave him his first car, just a 90 toyota. when he opened the hood of the car, looked around the engine compartment and immediately closed the hood.
i asked him what's wrong? he said he quit,"too many wires" he said. you can be experienced for 40 years on jeepneys. not all cars are simple as jeepneys. hahahahahaha

    not just that.
it is not uncommon for today's cars to have 17 control units using up to three communication protocols. if one bus line is getting too high or low voltage signal, the network goes into limp mode or not run at all. mechanics opt to keep replacing parts because of misunderstood/misdiagnosed or not diagnosed symptom. parts replacers make your repairs costly

you seem to understand the vehicle communication protocols.

    here are some of them.

most of them i already dealt with periodically. this is not a mechanic area

a technician or a master technician deals with this on almost a daily basis

in application at the shop level, which is my area:

thanks sir, but i'm no expert here. I'm just a technician in a plant where communication protocol is one of the problem to tackle. thank you for the link, I will definitely read this if I have time
by the way, is the lotus has a toyota engine? I read before that is has a toyota engine.
