try checking the following, battery terminal connectors(when not secured, loosens up when hot), Fuel filter and Air filter.

there are 2 issues: 1st is difficulty in starting but starter is cranking. 2nd no crank at all.

if 1, your battery and starter is ok but maybe you have problem in your fuel system, heater plugs, etc.
if 2, you need to check you alternator, battery, battery wiring for looseness, fuses.

    hth!

Typically, if an engine won't crank when hot, there's a sensor failure, or a hot condition causing it not to start... since it's an L300 with mechanical injection, the possibilities of a sensor failure are not so big.

Perhaps: 1. the engine has issues cranking when hot, and still needs the glowplug. But the glowplug won't activate when the engine is still hot.

Or: 2. The EGR is stuck open and the engine can't crank.

Or: 3. The engine needs the idle to be high, like it is when cold-cranking, to start properly. Another thing that won't happen (if it's automatic and not a manual choke) when the engine is hot.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

what is EGR sir? do you mean setting the idle to higher rpm will help in starting?

the wire brush of your starter must have seen better days and needs replacement. Check also the wires leading to your starter as it may be loose....

agree on the above...during the days when we still have our jeepney..common problem yan. At starter and solenoid ang problema. You may need to have it cleaned or possible re-wind sa mga electrical shop.
