    You need an ECU programmer or a piggyback controller like the Bluefin (programmer) or the VTECH Redbox or Unichip (piggybacks). You can't adjust it otherwise.

    The cheapest workable solution is the VTECH, at 25k, which has preset maps for most CRDI engines... but custom programming costs an additional 5k. The Unichip is next at around 30k (without the harness, custom-wired), which is custom-programmed to each vehicle if no preset program is available.

    Each of these "tunes" the engine by adjusting the injection advance and injector cycle individually. They don't touch pump function, CRDi doesn't work that way.
