definitely EFI is better in terms of performance. It is more accurate in metering the air/fuel mixture. It will depend though on what car you are referring to. If it is a classic car then a carburetor will be the better choice mainly because it looks the part for that period restoration but also because of cost. Some companies started developing EFI systems for classic cars like the classic Minis but they cost you an arm and a leg since these are low volume production items but they are indeed brilliant systems. Carburetors for me is just for that needed nostalgia on classic cars. The sound of Weber DCOEs growling under the bonnet of your car is just music to the petrolhead's ears!
