Sabi kasi ng Warranty Processor na nakausap ko from Honda Manila (siya din kasi yung nag-explain nung about sa car) na pwede na daw "ihataw" yung car agad dahil naka break-in na daw yun? Pede ba yun eh 4 kms pa lang natatakbo?

Ang alam ko kasi at may mga nagsasabi din sakin na wag daw patakbohin as much as possible more than 100kph during the "break-in" period. I think this is customary practice in previous brand new cars and reconditioned engines ewan ko lang kung iba na ngayon.

Tama ba yung tiga-Honda? Will this affect the performance of my engine in the long run?

Well, you can always quote the warranty processor when the time comes for you to make a warranty claim over engine damage. :D

Nung binili ko yung oto ko (2004), sinabi sa akin ng ahente na i-observe muna ang break-in period for the first 1,000kms. i.e. no speeds beyond 80kph, shift at 1500rpm only. The fact that I live in the mountains helped to pass those 1,000kms. quickly.

I suggest that you err on the side of caution. That momentary thrill you get in maxing out a brand-new engine too soon could result in years of maintenance problems.

Just watch your tach. Iwas lang mag rev masyado. Typically dapat less than 3,000 rpm lang.

normal point A to point B use. Nasisira lang yan kung gagamitin para sirain.
Ang tanong do you really need to redline it? Do you need to rev it more than
3000Rpm when you know it is a new engine?

We use to be a taxi and jeepney operator and pag madalas nasisira sasakyan,
If you think about it, hindi mo naman tinitipid sa maintenance pero parati sira.
    Eh yon gumagamit me differensia.

The question is not kung puede na huwag i break in ang bago na sasakyan.

The question is sapat ba ang iyong kaalaman sa limitasyon ng tibay ng mga
    makina.

At the end of the day it will all be up to you how you will treat one of your
    most valuable purchase.

Kami we just use it as usual, then after say a month or two travel na namin
out of town.

Never encountered any problems doing it this way.

Nag be break in lang mga uncles ko pag ka nag rebuilt sila ng engine.
They just do it in the garahe. Mga two days nila ginagawa ito mga 16 to 20 hrs total. When they feel the engine had enough ok na. They run the engine at different rpm, dahan dahan lang. Pag sinabi na ng mekeniko na ok
    na, tigil na sila.

Since you already tried at 130 kph and more, just limit or avoid abrupt acceleration and sudden stops. But imo I’ll just stay at 100-110 max for the mean time… after the 1K or 1.5K PMS then go more than 110 then so forth kung gusto mo talagang mainat.

The purpose why dahan dahan lang muna before the 1,000 kms pms is that your new car's engine internals are still new and have not been adapted to mesh together with ease. Pagdating ng 1,000 kms pms automatic na papalitan nila yung oil na unang karga ng engine mo dahil merong mga metal particles and residue na nasasama while your vehicle was still adjusting. Now considering na inihataw mo ang kotse mo kahit bago, baka mga gears, valves, etc. na hindi pa nagseset ng tama ay baka mali yung setting, at in the long run would be a continuous problem on your part.

tama si meledson just watch your tach, easy driving lang gawin mu para just think na less rev less gas consumption, sabihin na natin na new cars comsume less gas but if drive easy with no high revs mas matipid un sa gas di pa malalaspag car mu

just think upon revving gas is to acceleration
but if rekta na takbo gas is to air na yan

less consumption ng gas kapag rekta takbo

Break-in ng engine ng new car... kailangan pa ba?
