    ask lang po ng other opinion ;-)

    meron akong 2004 pregio M/T ... running condition.. bumibyahe ng 3 or 4x a week then umalis yung driver at halos natengga ng 2 months...

    nung start ayaw magstart..puro redondo lang... then tinulak/kinadyot... umandar naman. tapos halos 4 na oras ginamit na walang problema.. then natengga ng isang linggo...nung ini-start ay nag start naman....

    then natengga ulit but this time halos 4 na buwan... inistart..ayaw magstart... maski redondo wala... then walang ilaw sa mga panel..wala ring busina.. tinanggal ko na yung baterya (3smf EXCEL/Motolite - kulay green) ...dinala ko sa shop para maipacharge..

    upon checking eh sabi nadrain daw ng husto...4volts na lang daw.. hindi na daw kaya magcharge.. matitigas na daw plates.. (binuksan kase pwede daw tubigan uli then ichacharge) kailangan na daw ng bago

    so madaling sabi napabili ako ng generic na baterya na yung tig 1 year lang yung lifespan...

    kinabukasan ini-install ko sa pregio ko... may ilaw na sa panel..may busina na din..hazard umiilaw na din...pero nung ini-start ko..puro redondo lang ;-( pangalwang subok at pangatlo..ganun pa din puro redondo lang ayaw magstart..

    sinubukang itulak...ayun umandar... nagpa-diesel..pumunta sa battery shop kung san ko binili yung battery...chinek ..ok daw malakas daw.... tapos pinatay yung makina... then ini-start uli...pero ayaw na magstart uli..hangang 4 na beses ayaw talaga magstart...

    tinulak uli..ayun nagstart na naman..umuwi na ako sa bahay..then hinayaan kong umandar ng halos dalwang oras sa garahe... then pinatay ko..at ini-start uli..ahahay ayun ayaw mag start ;-( ;-(

    anu po kaya ang posibleng problema? masasabi ba na palyado na yung starter?

    dapat kasi kung hindi ginagamit ang sasakyan ng matagal e pinapaandar mo kahit 5 minutes lang every week. o kaya kung walang tao sa bahay na magpapa-andar e alisin mo yung battery at ipatong sa kahoy na tuyo (huwag sa semento, madidischarge at masisira ang plates).

    yung redondo nya mabilis ba o yung parang naghihingalo? kung fully charge ang battery pwedeng 2 ang cause - loose connection sa battery, starter or ground, saka worn starter bushings.

    This is a myth. Our generator bat and backup bat is sitting on the floor for years without probs. We replace it every 3yrs no matter what the condition. I've also seen bat shops storing batteries out from the box on the floor. We have rectifier stations with batteries on the floor, no probs whatsoever. Bat discharge is more attributed to temp, the cooler the better.

    If you will not use the car, simply remove negative side of the bat, no need to remove the bat from the car.

    Again, negative side not the positive. Removing the positive makes it riskier for short ckt because the car chasis having the largest area is negative potential.

    sad to say medyo madaming reason kung bakit dumating sa ganitong sitwasyon yung van ko.. anyways, gusto ko na lang ulit mapaandar at ng madispatya na ;-)

    kung redondo nya eh parang nag hihingalo eh malamang may problema yung connection mo from battery to starter.. or yung starter mismo needs overhauling (replace bushings), or yung battery mo mismo hindi kaya yung starter.. change battery ka sa mas malakas (motolite ulit)

    worn out starter carbon brush ang suspect ko jan sa van mo....malakas sa konsumo ng kuryente ang pudpod na carbon brush. assuming in good condition ang fuel system at engine mechanicals.

    as per my experience, nung nanghiram ako ng bagong battery mabagal ang cranking at parang ayaw tumuloy, nauutal sa cranking, etc at ayun i concluded na starter ang problema. since diyer ako, ako na rin nagpalit ng carbon brush. 4 pcs brush usually ang mga starter. fyi

    to give you approximate costs:
    1. Servicing - P500
    2. Carbon brush - P120-150

    mas mahal pa yung servicing kesa sa part.

    wag mo pala sa sanayin sa "kadyot starts"....di malayong clutch parts naman ang susunod na masira kung ganyan parati.

    same size nung luma..

    kung mas malaki duon eh hindi kakasya sa compartment nya kung mas maliit naman eh hindi magkakasya yung mounting na nagsesecure sa baterya

    From what I gather, nagi-istart naman ang sasakyan mo if you push-start it.

    so, Have you tried using:

    1.) another battery (not China branded ones)?

    if yes, then:

    2.) Another starter?

    Check the fuel delivery network too.

    Diba pag generator batt usually may charger yan naka supply? Kaya start agad yan palagi kagit hindi ginagamit.

    Sa site na yun dahil manned may tiga on/ off ng charger, pinapaandar once a week. Naging issue yung charger laging nakababad hindi nag ffloat, madali masira batt kaya may backup din naka tabi, hindi na napalitan yun charger ganun na yun for years.

    Baka naman napanis na ung fuel mo.

    Better next time kung igagarahe mo ng matagal make sure na un maiiwan na fuel sa tanke ay un magandang quality.

    anu po ibig sabihin ng napanis yung fuel..sa petron lang po ako laging nagpapadiesel
