    correct sir. just removing the belt and installing it after is already a tough task.

    some alternators are easily removed from underneath the car



    the carbon brushes are never enclosed in metal casing
    i think the poster meant the brasslike sleeve holding the carbon brushes which are electrically isolated from each other and from the grounded casing

    but still you have to remove the fan belt first. haven't seen removing alternator underneath the vehicle mukhang mas mahirap un.
