well pa assess muna nya ang problema before considering drastic action like changing the engine. get a second opinion too.

Help naman mga boss lancer gli auto q. 4g15 engine nya. Sobra lakas sa gas nag 4km per litter lang sya. Basesa mga mekanik n napag tanungan q nk baypass n ung hangin ng servo. Tornilyo n ang ang pang adjust sahangin. And palabas labas ang check engine nya. Pag n labas check engine n taas menor q.

Fuel System
Check filters. replace if dirty.
Check fuel injectors. clean them via DIY or get to a shop.
Check air filter. might need replacement also.
Check MAF sensor.clean if dirty.

Good fuel system?
Check oil viscosity. Might be too thiick.
Check engine compression.
Check engine temp/radiators.

sounds like you need top/overhaul. Pa compression test mo, and leak test na din para malaman kung top lang or overhaul na talaga.

Check the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose for leaks, check fuel pressure at idle and at 2000 rpm.
Check engine vacuum at idle, should be between 17--21 inHg.
Check voltage at ignition coil primary.
Check ignition coil output( should be able to jump up to 3/4 inch to the engine block)

If your fuel pressure is too high, the pcm is not able to adjust fuel pressure.
If your ignition is weak it can not deliver sufficient voltage inside the pressurized combustion chamber.
More than likely what you need is a tune up by a competent technician not a parts replacer and good quality parts

nangyari ba ito overnight, or unti-unting tumataas sa daan ng panahon?

Nung n bili q po ung sasakyan saka q łang n obserbahan n malakas sa gas. Pag inaadjust ung hangit medyo n tipid sya. Do i need tune up lang po ba. Ok naman po kc manakbo sasakyan malakas humatak. Malakas lang talaga sa gas ang problema q sa kanya and the check engine sign lagi n labas

Ganyan din sakin Sir ang lakas sa gas.
Honda Civic 97
Kaka change lang ng engine. after 3 mos nag check engine. Bumili ako ng OBD II scanner kaso mali ang socket di pareho sa akin. So nag youtube ako, nakita ko yung oldschool na diagnostics, nalaman ko na 02 sensor sa ilalim problema. Sinilip ko patay ang sensor. Mukhang nagmadali ang pagkakabit sa engine ko. Pero Duda din ako kung yun nga dahilan baka meron p iba. San kaya pwde magpacheck yung reliable mechanic talaga na hindi nanaga. Salamat po!

sample scenarios are ;

if the O2 sensor is lazy and stuck at low,the result will be rich ,why ? it's because the ECM was seeing it as a very lean condition.

coolant sensor ,if it stucked at cold ( 4-5 v reading is considered cold) the computer will give more fuel .

or if the vacuum is low the map sensor will make it rich too (if equipped)

alot of things to be checked first before attempting to change any major parts suspected.

the best thing to do is you to find a shop who is specialized in ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS not the shops who can only change parts and get lucky .

otherwise you're at risk of getting the same results and that will be a problem.

mga sir maya katanungan lang ako. meron ako problem sa Lancer GTI 1992 EFI engine 4g15

pansin ko pag idle siya ng lalaro ung ung idle nya. minsan nmn steady lang siya tapos may time na bumagbagsak ung idle nya tapos aangat ulit pero since nka muffler ako hndi swabe ung tunog nya sa muffler parang may misfire na tunog parang may maliit na naputok sa loob ng chamber pero okay nmn ang takbo ko. ska pag naibyahe ko na ng 4hours straight may time na biglang mamatay ung engine nya. tapos need ko mg wait ng 2-3 mins bago siya start ulit.

additional problem is umaamoy ung gas nya sa tambutso. and every start ng engine meron white smoke na nalabas na amoy gas.

hndi ako ng babawas ng oil and coolant. FYI
