My ride is a vios with around 69k kms. Usual travel is from Las Pinas to Paranaque (around one hour drive back and forth) during weekdays. Been using DGU multigrade mineral oil 15w-40 for two consecutive OCIs pero pansin ko lumakas FC ko. Maybe the oil is too thick but aside from that satisfied ako sa DGU kasi mastahimik engine ko, high detergents and since malapot siya not worried sa any oil leaks. But other than that, I think my car can have the same, if not better benefits running on FS oil or at least semi synthetic.

    So my questions are:

    1. Considering the mileage of my car, is it okay to go back using to using FS or semi synthetic oil from mineral oil?

    2. What is the best oil to use in terms of getting good FC and wear protection? 5w-30/10w-30/10w-40?

If 1.5 automatic yung vios mo eh hindi talaga matipid sa fuel yan.

Pero pag 1.3 kahit manual or matic eh matipdi dapat.

Meron po ako nakita na semi-synthetic Caltex Havoline 10w40 but I don't see any reviews on this oil.

Recommended ba magstay nalang sa DGU na 15w40? My guess is yung malakas na FC is nanggagaling sa startup kasi masyadong mabigat yung 15w?

Ok ang mineral at semi-synthetic basta ci-4/sL rating. Mag zic up 10w40 ka.

Thanks sir chookchakchenes. Btw sir, Zic has no FS oil with viscosity of 10w40? The Zic up you recommended is a diesel oil hence it's only mineral? Does it have high level of detergents like the DGU?

Wala 10w40 na fully-synthetic. Pero meron yung zic xq 5w40 pero api grade SM/CF.

Ang zic up semi synthetic. Group 3 base oil gamit ng zic. Basta ci-4/sL or ch-4/sJ mataas additive/cleaning properties.

CI-4/SL naman yung nirecommend niyong Zic Up so I guess pede ito. Any idea if cat con safe po siya, 1200 or below yung ZDDP content ni Zic Up? Sorry dami kong tanong hehe.

Oo pwede.
