Anyone running this here? I am told it is the best. Made by Mann Hummel.

Features include a synthetic filter media, pressure release valve and drain for oil return to crankcase. Pricey though, at Php7k+ est. Php2K+ for the filter media replacement.

Looks like a Chinese copy. Ang mahal pa rin Thanks for the link though. That should be priced much lower. Methinks this is from Robert who used to work at ChipIt.

kung totally dry at walang trace ng oil yung outlet line palabas ng occ then effective nga yan. if my traces pa rin ng oil yung line na papasok sa turbo casing then pareho din ng generic yan na may nakakalusot pa rin na oil. everytime i drained the occ, i checked the line palabas ng occ at meron pa rin oil na nakakalusot. considering yung na collect na oil compared sa walang occ, at least na-minimize at na-prevent yung oil mapunta sa sa turbo casing, ic at intake m/f.

Afaik iba yung Chiptuning sa Chipit, they are separate companies. Chiptuning is a dealer of Chipit. Dapat nililinaw nila yun para walang confusion sa customer support, warranty, etc. Typical ng startup, siguro ginagamit din yung name ng Chipit to boost sales.

Re: Provent I'll let you know sir. Just contacted Mann Hummel Phils, they will refer me to a local dealer. They're just checking which one has stocks of the item.

For me, Oil catch can is one of the most important upgrade for a turbo diesel.. Thats my modified catch can after running less than 8000km..

masyadong mahal yan for an occ in fact, yung mga generic dito sa atin na occ ay more than capable naman na to trap the oil preventing it before going into the turbo housing, intercooler and finally ending in intake manifold.

Afaik some VW TDis have this installed as OEM. I would imagine dapat lang meron na from factory yung mga premium German brands nito kung VW lang meron na. Just in case maambunan ako ng pork at makabili ako ng German pwede ko ilipat dun yung unit.

Yes sir a bit expensive but it should do the job much better than the generic OCCs. As I mentioned above we can transfer it from vehicle to vehicle if ever it's time to sell the car. Also at around 7K I wouldn't consider this expensive in relation to the cost of modern diesels, which are now 1.1M up. That's not even 1% of the car.

Your OCC looks pretty effective sir. Has any oil made it past the OCC into the intake? Is there any water in the oil?

Yup, ang laki ng inlet and outlet, 25mm for the 200. Pero yung 16mm of the 150 should be enough. Yung filter element around 80,000-100,000 Kms of use daw. Not bad hehe.

Eto pa rin ang gamit ko almost 2years na pero may nakakalusot pa rin na mist. I will be experimenting on stainless steel mesh filter like yung nakakbit sa fuel tank. mukhang mas effective in coalescing oil vapour.

Naisip ko sa salvage yard sa UK baka may mas mura. Built-in on most engines nila kasi ang OCC. Another good option is this crancase ventilation from cummins. Clearing the Fog with Crankcase Ventilation

Yung filter naman hindi kailangan parati palitan. Baka every 20-30k km siguro bago palitan yan.

Nope!!! Our catch cans here including mine are all just a bunch of bling items.. & its efficiency is very low(unmodified) compare to that provent.. What makes the provent so effective is the pcv gasses revolves around the cylinders like a centrifugal force & separates the oil from the fumes..
