Last saturday, napansin ko halos steady sa 4 oclock position ang temp gauge, hindi na cya umaabot sa middle ng gauge like it normally does .. and tendency ay hindi umaabot sa saktong operating temperature ang makina at ang rpm ay hindi na rin bumaba sa normal na 750-800rpm, palaging above 1k rpm kahit ilang oras nang umaandar ..

Nung binuksan ko ang hood, hindi na pala nag tuturn-off yung radiator fan, lagi nalang naka andar .. dati kasi, pa mainit na ang makina at kaka idle lng sa garahe, saglit mag on yung radiator fan tpos off naman, after a while on naman tpos off naman .. Ngayon palagi nlng on ..

Kailangan na bang palitan ang Thermo Switch/radiator fan switch ng kotse ???

Toyota fan thermoswitches were designed to be normally closed and open at around 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Try jumpering the light green wire (closest to the thermostat) to ground. The fan should turn off, if it does not try switching the rad fan relay with another one. That rad fan relay should be an M4 (make circuit, 4 terminals)

I went to the autoshop and tried to plug a new thermoswitch through the green wire while holding it with my hand without removing the old thermoswitch but the fan still didn't turn off .. Does the thermoswitch only work when place in the engine and not just hold on your hand while testing it ???

Your thermo switch provides the ground path for you relay control circuit. When you had the green wire disconnected and the fan did not run is a confirmation that it was not the switch causing the problem. Try connecting the fan direct to + and -- thru a fuseto see if the fan is not stuck or burnt

sir gud pm parehas tayu ng prob.ok na ba ung sayu?ung sakin kc ganun pg naka on lang and engine is not being on continues ung fan ko.fan switch lang ba ung sayu ? parang hindi ung coolant temp.sensor kc ang pg kaka alm ko,temp sensor to ECU pg n sense nia ung resistance ng engine ang ECU naman ang magbibigay ng tamang mixture ng air and fuel to combustion engine.kya pag sira ang temp sensor once nag start ka ng engine sa umaga o pag malamig ung engine for sure na mamalaya ka sa umpisa..
