Maybe a grounding issue. When I studied the schematics, the fuel gauge, tach, and speedo share the same ground. This ground wire (brown) I'd look at first. It's supposed to be attached to the radio chassis.

follow up question....how about the odometer? pag hindi po umiikot ano po usual cause nun? repairable pa po ba yun?cable po ba nag papaiikot nun?

buhayin ko lang po tong thread na to. ask ko lang po sir smewth kung naayos nyo pong yung problem ng gauge nyo? ganito rin po problem ng auto ko, parehong pareho po tayo. at pareho din po tayo ng auto, corolla xe din po ung akin. paano nyo po naayos?

up ko lang po. may problem din sa corolla 90 ko small body. hindi accurate kasi yung speedometer ko pag naka 40km/h ka biglang umaakyat sa 100km/h at kung tumatakbo ka naman ng 80 pataas umaakyat sya sa 120km/h.. usually kasi dumadaan ako sa macapagal merong speed limit dun na 60 minsan di ko n alam kung accurate pa ung speed ko kaya sinasabayan ko nalang yung ibang sasakyan para makipantay ako sa speed nya.

repairable din po ba ito?
recommended shop din po na nagkakabit ng tachometer kasi minsan magalaw yung idle timing at sa ac on timing.
