Share ko lang. Pag out of warranty na ang maintenance-free car battery nyo especially kung 2 yrs old pataas at mahina na, you can add battery solution - not distilled water, to prolong the life of your battery. Ginawa ko na ito at effective naman. Sunod ko advice ng taga battery shop na nakausap ko. Tanggalin ang battery sticker at unscrew the caps. Do not over fill.

Ung Battery solution ay acidic ung properties kaya medyo ingat lang. Iba ito sa
    distilled water.

not! when you buy a new battery the first fluid to be pour-in, is the Acid battery solution for self charging, then upon using the battery the fluid may evaporate, to top up just add distilled water nalang.

The problem with maintenance-free or low-maintenance batteries is that they have sticker covers at the top. If you remove the sticker to unscrew the battery plugs, it will void the warranty.

The advantage is, as the commercial states: Ikabit then forget. However, after some time (about 2 years) nababawasan ang liquid sa loob ng baterya, hindi na above the plates so simula na ng pagkasira ng baterya.

yun yung solution na nilalagay para sa mga battery repairs... if i remember it correctly, kinakain nito yung mga metal sa loob ng battery para magproduce ng chemical reaction taht would result in electricity. okay din ito pero in the long run, mauubos yung metal plates ng battery kaya patay na din... may mga issues din dito...

There's no substitute for a a brand new battery especially the good ones - Motolite, Outlast etc.., pero medyo mahal.

... kaya TULAK hehehe.

go for low maintenance pero regularly check the battery once it's out of warranty period na. you may dispose your battery by trading it for a new one. It costs around P50 - P100 php.

turn off the aircon thermostat (blower fan on) few hundred meters from destination, turn off headlight/radio at night when entering our garage. enough charge for tomorrow's start up. it helps.

hindi ba by removing the negative terminal sa battery resets your radio presets and clock if any? or is it only by removing both terminals?

yap, you need to reprogram your electronic devices once you disconnect negative terminal.

unless your car stereo has a battery for the memory presets (backup battery). My stereo has one.
