Anyone experienced this??? Ano ginawa ninyo??? Oil is leaking from my alternator every (cold) morning but when it warms up the leak stops. I'm planning tuloy to replace my alternator 'coz I have an extra one.

AFAIK wala naman oil sa alternator. it just some electric winding/electromagnet, 4 rectifier diodes and a regulator plus some pulleys and bearings. wala ako alam na oil. probably ur engine is leaking somewhere. better look for the leak sa engine.

merong oil talaga eh. saka hiwalay yung alternator ko sa engine so makikita talaga yung pinang-gagalingan ng leak. may hose din from my oil pan connected to my alternator. anyway baka palitan ko na lang yung alternator. ang prob ko mataas ang AMP rating ng ipapalit ko baka kelangan ko ring palitan wirings ko pag sakali.

paki check uli, never an alternator has oil. it is an electric device. it should be coming from the engine just passing thru your alternator, baka makaroon pa ng short circuit yong wiring mo.

Most diesel engines have an alternator that recirculates oil to create AIR vacuum, which is needed for the hydrovac and other actuators.

jim; most probably its in the hoses, 2 actually, the intake and the discharge.. if its oily, most probably it has a leak.

umuubos ng engine oil yan pag malakas ang tagas at pag hindi mo pinansin. tama po si v22, may air yan for the hydrovac brake system and other components that needs air like idle up switch, diff locks, etc.
