Hello guys, yung sportage namin may problema. Yung door sa likod ng driver eh nag malfunction yung power door locks niya.

After once or twice mong mag unlock/lock, ayaw ng mag function. It gets weaker and weaker until hindi na gumagalaw yung door locks. Kelangan manual na.

After a while, maybe 10mins, function ulit siya for once or twice then ayaw nanaman.

    Any idea whats wrong?

You can try to check the actuator, the one responsible for the lock.

You need to remove the entire cover of your door to access this thing. Once removed, you dismantle the actuator and check it by giving a 12 V DC supply to see if it is functioning properly. Otherwise, some mechanical connections could be loosed.

Replace actuator. In contrast, bukod sa tailgate, our 21y/o Japan surplus Granvia still has its original actuators. IIRC, generic China replacement costs 450 each. Not sure if surplus is available for Hyundai/Kia, but casa is bound to be expensive.

Kia Sportage Power Door Lock Problem Banawe boys (or Araneta boys in my case) are very good though. They will gripe about how hard it is for this model but will still finish the job anyway.

Our 2010 Carnival has the same problem. I think all door lock actuators have been replaced by now. Likewise with a relative's 2011 Carnival. And theirs started happening when the vehicle was just 3 years old!

My 1st gen sportage's original actuators all gave up. I replaced them all with generic actuators. Yung driver side actuators lang yung iba ang connections from OEM to generic

Yung kulay blue bayan or black na generic actuator? Nagkakaroon ng problema yan sa sorento ko. It keeps on unlocking 10 times in a row when I turn off the engine or open the driver's door.

Kulay black. The problem might be in the wiring of the driver's door. Other doors have only one connector. The driver's door have I think two connectors, one for the actual movement of the actuator and the other for the door lock sensor.

Do you have any idea saan dapat iconnect yung wire ng door sensor? I plan to DIY nalang since nabubuksan ko naman yung door panel.
