ang 5000mah, it takes 3 hours to charge. so 10000mah mga 6 hours to charge, eh yan 14000mah, so isang buong gabi na, yun eh kung yan lang iniintinde mo mag charge ng power bank sa gabi

anyone here who still uses one? can it really start your car?

Honda service told me medyo mahina na battery ko... haven't had the chance to personally test it (using a multi meter)

Wouldn't be using any jump starter on modern cars with electronics ... just have 24 hours battery delivery in directory ...

smarty smarty na po yung mga portable battery jump starters.. i think they're safe to use na.. some even detects if you place the clips incorrectly..

usually the spark / spike in the initial clamping of the terminals that cause errors to the system.. that's why these portable jump starter need to be clamped first in the battery before you turn them on.. some have independent circuit for the jump starting that raises the voltage to the charging voltage of 14..

multi-meter test is not enough.. may digital battery testers that measure internal resistance ng battery.. pag medyo mataas na, fail na sa test yan..

another measure is yung "load" tester.. bibigyan ng artificial load yung battery to test if mag hold ng voltage.. pag bagsak sa minimum.. soon to fail na yan

with unavailability of a load tester, you can disable the fuel system by removing the fuel pump fuse. crank the engine until it starts and stalls. then, with a reliable voltmeter crank the engine while observing the voltage of the battery under load. if the voltage drop below 11 volts, recharge the battery and retest. if the voltage still drops, replace the battery

this procedure applies to gas engine that has electric fuel pump

Used to have one before, & had it for many years na rin, & was able to jump start multiple cars many times na. Should get a new one na again becasue the battery already bloated.

I have one. Yoobao 150C. Saved me a couple of times already. Tested na gumagana yung jump starter nya. Napabilib din yung isang tinulungan ko noon nung di magstart ang sasakyan nya sa mall parking.

Are these jump starter powerbanks advisable to be left on the car in case of emergency? I was thinking of leaving one Sa lagayan ng spare tire. But I'm afraid if the car will be left in a hot sun the powerbank may start a fire.

Or they drain away their charge by the time you need them ...

I'm oldskool and just keep a pair of jumper cables in the car. And even that, in the last almost 8 years, haven't had a need to use it.

Anyway, if you are looking for portable jump-start packs, choose one that has LiFePO4 (LFP) cells. Unlike Li-Po or Li-ion cells, LFP does not spontaneously combust. They're safe for storage in your car.

Yung wireless digital air pump ko which of course have lithium batteries iniiwan ko lang sa trunk ng sasakyan ko.
Have been doing so for several years na, and so far wala pa namang untoward incident.

we're all familiar w/ battery-based jump starters. but this one is capacitor based (ryobi). takes juice from ryobi 18v packs to charge up the capacitor banks. 500F each!!! could start up to 6.0L V8 engine

are there similar gadgets on lazada?

You don't even need to use dedicated battery packs for these super capacitor jump starters. As long as your battery still has some charge in it it will accumulate that charge over a period of time so that it can deliver it as a big jolt required to start up your car. I've seen one in Lazada but it's pricier than the battery based models. Good thing about this type is that you don't have to worry about charging it or having the battery go bad by storing it inside your hot car for a long period of time.
