your horn is old. the electrical contacts inside are probably corroded and/or dirty. you can probably clean them IF you can open the horn, but the problem will be back in no time. some horns have an adjusting screw outside. you can try playing with it by turning it back and forth, to get the best sound. but the bottomline is, just replace the horn.
btw, i notice this in toyotas. notice how soft many toyota taxis' horns are? my nissan doesn't have this problem, even after 14 years.

so any suggestions on what horn could i possibly replace? possibly price too... i don't need a very expensive one though, as long as it is loud enough to be heard that would be fine for me... thanks guys

e-bay? Or kung masipag ka maghanap sa truck & firetruck supplies dami nyan. Problem monalang is compressor and 12v air-valve, usually kasi 24v ang available locally.(maybe ARB comp and switch for lockers would do - sa 4x4 shops)

Check the notes na gusto mo then compare. Cheaper sa hornblaster yung package nila.

i got the same horny problem on my 1995 civic. sometimes it works perfectly but oftentimes its "ngongo" or not working at all especially when i'm honking while turning the steering wheel. i think its the wiring(loose connection) that has the problem although i did'nt check that yet.

Horny question?
