    Thank you sa mga reply and tips. It's an old pajero po 2000 fieldmaster with 75k mileage.2nd hand na po namin nakuha. May vault guage pag di pa nstart engine nasa 11v tapos pag napaandar unti unti na akyat sa 12v then dun na magstay.motolite excel yung battery but 9mos pa lang to. Tried to localize the sound using steth mukhang sa alternator nga galing. Mukhang di pwede ibyahe to.

    Hirap pa naman sumilip jan mataas na masikip pa hehe.
    Ano ba klase ng tunog sir? Grinding metal o hangin ang dating?may fieldmaster kasi na ang alternator mayvacuum pump sa likod baka ganon ang sainyo.

    Yes sir medyo masikip nga.tried pakinggan yung alternator with stethoscope, more on grinding pero mahina.pag naka andar makina medyo na ooverlap yung sound..di ko maroadtrip kasi baka bigla ako tumirik.matic pa naman.

    Kung grinding metal ang dating bearing kung medyo pino at mahina paubos na carbon brush malapit na tumama ung spring or copper wire sa armature. Isip ko lang yan sir hehe pacheck mo na lang. hangang charging pa siya pagawa mo na lang cheap lang bearing at carbon brush. Pagnasunog rectifier eh mahal.

    More on pino ang sound sir tapos pag medyo na warm up na engine mas humihina na siya. Di ko nga magamit kasi baka lalo masira alternator. Sa Monday ko pa mapa check kasi sa reys electrical ako magpacheck eh sa Monday pa sila bukas. Wala na kasi ako alam iba autoelectrical na maganda dito marikina hehe.

    Ako about 2 yrs ago nang nagloloko alternator ko ginawa ko pinabaklas ko sa suki kong electrician/mechanic sabay tinakbo ko sa yock's electrical shop sa edsa, qc. All the way from las pinas bro. Nakakatakot kasi tirikin sa gitna ng biyahe. Ayuz na ayuz naman kinalabasan ��

    no way na ko tatakbo ng kotse na may alternator na nagpaparamdam. nangyari na iyan sa akin during my gung-ho-didn't-know-any-better-younger-days...at dahil sa katangahan inabutan ako sa coastal road during my late evening drive home. doon ko unang naranasan talaga mag break into cold sweat

    clarification...
    did you have the alternator removed from the car, then drove that alternator-less-car to yock's?
