Hello! I think i'm having a problem with my car's alternator.when i start the engine i hear a hissing sound on the left side where the alternator is. But when the engine warms up, the sound decreases or disappears. I tried googling the problem but most say that the sound is constant.i recently changed my belts and had them adjusted and re-adjusted but the sound is still there.

Maybe a vacume leak somewhere in the idle-up side kung malapit siya sa alternator. Pabago-bago ba sir ang idle?

Thanks sa reply sir. Di naman po pabago-bago idle. And yung sound po is marinig sa start ng engine pero pag nagamit na halos wala na sound, minsan bumabalik hissing sound but di ganun kalakas.

it would be nice to know what car we are talking about.
but my very wild guess is, your idler bearing is about to die.

Use a stethoscope (or improvise with a plastic tube) to localize the sound.
