What do you think? After I start my engine a few mins. binuksan ko headlight may changes sa vibration nya parang nag increase pag off ko na uli yung headlight balik uli sya sa normal. Normal ba ito o sign na may problema or shortage sa power? Thanks and power sa member ng pinoy lover of wheel!!!!

November 19th, 2003 10:31 PM #2Battery is not fully charged yet. When you crank your engine, battery power level drains. That's why most of service centers advise to let your engine idle for a few minutes before putting any added drain. I have read somewhere that every crank the battery power drains by 5-10%. And it will take a few minutes for the alternator to fully charge it again (depending on how low the rpm is).
You might think that revving the engine high during cold will help you. Not good option either, most of the engine oil has not circulated yet and you'll be grinding the metal parts without the lubrication it needs.
Just practice to let the engine idle 5 minutes or more before attempting to turn on your aircon, radio, headlights or what-accessories-you-have. This also prolongs your battery life.
