aside from what v6dreamer suggested, check the alternator belt, it might be loose causing it to slip. when that happens the battery indicator will light up.
have the alternator check sa mga battery shop esp when the battery indicator is lit up. it could be that the alternator is not charging properly, over charge or under charge.
Nangyari na din sa akin yung problem ng car mo. ang culprit ay ALTERNATOR low charging, pinalitan carbon brash ng alternator medyo maiksi na kasi. also to detect kung battery or alternator problem you can try this step, disconnect either possitive or negative wire of your battery while your car engine is on, if the engine will stop, alternator might be the problem, if not your battery might be defective.
Check first the alternator terminal, belt condition and tightness, voltage regulator(if equipped).
It seems that the problem I had with my car is just one of the by-products of worn out piston rings... Explanation ng mechanic is that mahina ang power kaya parating naka-red ang battery indicator sa dash board. This is because of loose compression. So the solution is replacement of piston rings, valve seal, cylinder head gasket, and change oil. Sinabayan na rin ng linis ng carb. So far so good. Around 3,500 for the parts (piston rings, valve seal, head gasket, oil, filter) and only 2,000 sa labor.
Tnx!
