Just want to ask for some inputs/advise from those of you who might encountered similar problem...

My car is corolla gl '90. 3 months pa lang to sa akin.

The problem is that recently, angtagal mawala ng red light ng battery. Habang nakailaw, parang palyado ang takbo ng makina to the point na namamatay pag nagmenor ako. Wala namang problema sa pag-start. After a few kilometers at nawala na ang ilaw, smooth na ang takbo. Kaka-tune-up lang nito last month.

Battery, alternator, or anything else? Siguro better na rin if you can recommend to me a mechanic na expert sa corolla gl.

Thank you so much in advance.

Check battery ground cable for loss connection from your batt terminal to engine bay or chassis and also your alternator wire. Look for any suspicious loss wire clean theme and tighten them all up. Seems like your car grabbing all the electrical power up to the limit whenever you step on your barke thats reason why your hessitant at first.

aside from what v6dreamer suggested, check the alternator belt, it might be loose causing it to slip. when that happens the battery indicator will light up.

have the alternator check sa mga battery shop esp when the battery indicator is lit up. it could be that the alternator is not charging properly, over charge or under charge.

Nangyari na din sa akin yung problem ng car mo. ang culprit ay ALTERNATOR low charging, pinalitan carbon brash ng alternator medyo maiksi na kasi. also to detect kung battery or alternator problem you can try this step, disconnect either possitive or negative wire of your battery while your car engine is on, if the engine will stop, alternator might be the problem, if not your battery might be defective.

Check first the alternator terminal, belt condition and tightness, voltage regulator(if equipped).

+ kay ukay, n while na ka disconect ung terminal pwde m series ng VOM ng mkita mo charging rate ng alternator it should be around 14-17volts (depende sa amperes ng alternator mo)

It seems that the problem I had with my car is just one of the by-products of worn out piston rings... Explanation ng mechanic is that mahina ang power kaya parating naka-red ang battery indicator sa dash board. This is because of loose compression. So the solution is replacement of piston rings, valve seal, cylinder head gasket, and change oil. Sinabayan na rin ng linis ng carb. So far so good. Around 3,500 for the parts (piston rings, valve seal, head gasket, oil, filter) and only 2,000 sa labor. Inabot ng 4 days sa shop.
