fluctuating headlights

check your power sources: your battery and its terminals, check the alternator output. with engine at idle, vehicle at rest, load up with the headlights on and observe the system voltage at the battery terminal cables. then unload the headlights to verify a change in the system voltage. or check with the last electrical component that had ben disrupted or disturbed. the head lights flicker maybe?

it depends, what was the voltage with engine at rest? what was the voltage with the engine running? what was the voltage with the engine running and loaded with headlights? publish your numbers please.

First thing in the morning
with engine off
- headlight off 12.4 Volts
- headlight on 12.0 volts

with engine on
- headlight off 14.4 volts
- headlight on 14.4 volts
- headlight on, aircon on 14.4 volts



After 1 hour driving
with engine on
- headlight off 14.0 volts
- headlight on 12.9 volts
- headlight on, aircon on 12.5 volts

with engine off
-headlight off 12.6 volts
- headlight on 12.2 volts


Are the numbers healthy ?
