    minsan yung battery light/indicator ko bigla nalang umiilaw... random ito eh... dati akala ko pag malamig lang yung engine pero na-experience ko na kahit mainit na ang engine...

    ano kaya problema nito? what do I have to have checked, repairs I might have to make and mga how much?

    When the battery indicator is lighting up it means that your battery is being drained and there is a problem with your charging system or alternator. Have it checked. :D

    Yup yup... electrical system needs to be checked..

    It happened to me before, naputol yung alternator belt ko... umilaw yung battery light ...

    Libre lang naman ang check-ups on most battery centers. Why don't you let them check your charging system. Minsan pagod na pala yung battery kaya ganyan.

    Yung sakin di ko napansin dati manipis na pala yung fanbelt ng alternator. Bumagal tuloy ikot ng alternator at yung cooling fans niya (yung blades sa harap ng alternator housing). Nag-overheat. Sunog. Ang laking gastos to rebuild it. Buti na lang nabenta na yung Besta.

    Loose or worn out alt. belt. Loose/damage pulley sa alternator.

    In minor case... check ur battery. Ano na lifespan ng batt mo?

    Might as well check yung alternator mo, you can do this by disconnecting the positive terminals while the engine is running, pag namatay yung makina, there's something wrong with ur alternator or charging system mo. Ingat lang doing this kc you are dealing with electricity, you know what happens pag nagsama + and - kaboom!

    Happened to me once, una blinking lang yung indicator but after a while totally lit up na....kita ko sira na pala belt ko, di na gumagana alternator, di na charge, ayun naubos, gabi pa naman kita ko labo na headlights ko.

    thanks guys. baka nga sa alternator... kasi ang battery ko wala pang 6 months, motolite yata yun yung maintenance free...

    alternator siguro yun no?

    mga magkano pala ang fan belt ng alternator, any ideas?

    Check also the voltage regulator, aside from those already mentioned.
