The car is 2009 city automatic, we just changed battery a month ago, thats when the problem started. The engine would just die, coming from a neutral or a full stop, or a slow down. I just haveto turn the ignition to off then start again, and the engine would start, just one click so i guess the problem is not in the battery itself. Maybe on a connection? Alternator?

I also tried it with AC off and radio off, still the engine stops coming from a full stop or a slow down.

    Can anybody help?

Hindi ba yung 2009 yung current GM body?

*Parang* pwedeng i disconnect muna yung battery for 10-15 minutes para mag reset yung ECU?

I looked at the cvt reset sticky, kulang kami ng L, walang L yung city 2009, pero ginawa ko pa rin. Also did some google about cvt on 2009 city, and it seems its not cvt, drive-by-wire daw ito sabi ng honda site, also some site saus cvt is 6 or 7 speed, yung amin eh 5 speed lang.

Anyway, the problem seems to show up during traffic lang or slow moving traffic, kung mabilis naman di namamatayan, which i consider lucky, kasi mahirap mamatayan ng makina at high speed, i guess it has something to do with neutral. Magkano kaya pa tsek up nito sa casa?

Kung yan na yung new body Honda City alam ko hindi na yan CVT kaya relatively safe ka sa mga CVT problems.

Dalhin mo bro sa Honda SPA. At least dun makikita mo anong ginagawa sa kotse mo. ;)

pwede mo try to. tanggalin mo ulit negative terminal ng battery for ten mins. apakan mo brake pedal ng 3 beses. tapos kabit mo ulit negative terminal. start the car and let it IDLE(wag i-rev yun engine at any pont during 10 mins) for 10-15 mins without turning on any accessories ex: aircon, lights etc. tapos off mo engine. then test drive mo na.

Not on a honda, but when that happened to a toyota, yung idle up lang ang may problem. Not that hard to fix. Dapat kasi magcompensate yung idle up when the engine gets loaded either by the ac or power steering or other factors.

Yes conventional matic na ang 09

it happened to me before sa vios '08. nag empty yung batt then after 5hours palit na ko. pagkapalit ok naman, pero napansin ko, nagrestart yung time sa dash though walang sign ng poor idling. Tapos in-off ko na. Kinabukasan pag alis ko, pansin na pansin ko yung pagbaba ng menor lalo na pag humihinto up to the point na namamatay na yung engine. Dapat daw, bago palitan yung lumang battery, i-jumpstart mo muna yung auto, let it idle for a couple of minutes bago tanggalin yung lumang batt. Hayaan lang daw umaandar yung engine habang nagpapalit ng batt para hindi magbago yung program sa computer. Lahat yan eh sabi nung sa servitek. Then habang nasa servitek ako, pinabayaan kong tumatakbo yung engine, while aircon, stereo and lights are off, habang kausap ko yung mekaniko na hindi nya alam kung pano ayusin yung problema ng sasakyan. So pagbalik ko sa sasakyan and pag alis ko...okay na takbo nung vios

So i think you are talking about differentials? I only heard about that on Gran Turismo sa playstation, haha. I think the values reseted to the lowest. Comment din ng wife ko parang bumagal yung sasakyan. Anyway i think to restore the correct value eh kailangang dalhin sa casa.

Though i wonder pano na restore old value ng sasakyan mo by just leaving the engine running.

my wife used the car for around 50km, around 9pm medyo traffic pa, pero di namatayan ng makina. I did what you guys suggest, leave the engine running for 15 minutes with other electrical off. it seems it did the trick. though 50km pa lang na try, sana bukas paggamit ulit di na talaga mamatayan.

ayos na siguro yan. pagnagpalit ka kasi ng batt narereset yun ecu. it takes about 10 mins daw sa learn mode ecu para ma set yun proper idle. pag nag on kasi ng aircon nagfluctuate yun engine rpm kaya nalilito yun ecu kaya pag nasa trafic with the a/c on mababa yun menor. yun procedure na yan works everytime sa mga kotse namin with ecu.
