Can one reset the trip meter backwards>

Im asking since i just got one and would just want to find out if possible.
Sabi ng talyer ko di kaya since its digital without damaging the odometer.

Sabi ng kilala ko pwede daw.

I know dati di talaga pwede, baka ngayon may magaling na na loko.

alam ko maski digital pwede na.
pero i would not advise you doing it so just your car will reflect less mileage if you are selling it. panloloko yan.

It requires special tools that only the dealers will likely be able to afford.

Changing the odo reading is illegal. The tool is only required if there's a need for the dealer to replace the instrumentation with a brand new one. What they do is copy the original odo reading either visually or through the tool and save it to the new gauge module electronically.
