battery drain

guys quick question

alam ko kapag off ang engine at accessories lang ang naka-on, there is a set time kung gaano katagal bago madrain battery. how long ito? when the car is running, naddrain ba ang battery kapag naka-on radio, lights, etc? natatakot kasi ako loooong drive with the tuner on.

kapag nakapatay ung makina, ang charge na nakastore sa battery differs, kalimitan ito ay naka label sa bagong baterry, pero ususally 1-1.5Hours un..and you must leave atleast 11v to start the engine..

when the engine is running, ung battery should be reading 13.5-14.5v this means na charging siya..unless of course faulty na alternator(generator) mo...in short, most of your electrical are not supplid by the batery anymore, but the alternator...

pero kung read out mo kapag tumatakbo ung makina beyond sa 14.5, overcharging na yan at delicado sa battery (there is a posibility na sumabog)...

unless din, ung electronics mo sa sasakyan ay masmadami kaysa sa kaya isupply ng alternator..so palit ka ng alternator, but not exceeding 90amphere-Hour.

depends on the battery's reserve capacity, the current the accessories are pulling. There's no given timeframe.

When the car is running, the alternator provides all the current, not the batt. The accessories will stay on as long as the engine is running (or as long as you have fuel running the car).
