    Hi Guys,

Di naman naka-on ung low-batt indicator tapos nung nag try ako high beam nag shut off yung engine?? (1 beses lang) Problem kaya sa batt or alternator?

Bagong palit pala ung batt ko last saturday..

    Thanks,
    Chris

May nakita akong tester for battery and alternator sa Concorde Megamall. Di ko lang maalala kung magkano. Pero sure below 400 pesos. Plug in type sa lighter and yung reults ay shown by led lights.

The digital clock dimming feature was with our 95 Corolla para masmadali makita sa gabi (parang ganun) pero kung may iba pang symptoms check the battery and connections first dahil yun ang most recent na nakalikot.

    Thanks!

Can this device check if the batt and the alternator are working OK?

since bago pa battery mo..try this. upon turning on the engine for about 5-10min, pull-out mo yung red cable from the battery. pag namatay engine mo, alternator yan. hth

Red is positive. Lagyan mo ng tanda. Paano naging black pareho iyan? hehehe. Baka malito pa mechanics kapag nag-work sa engine mo.

Yes, the clock dims when you turn on the lights.

Feature pala yung clock dimming?

When my alternator died the batt warning light came on.

When my battery died I couldn't start the car

Yung positive usually may plastic/rubber cap para di tumama ang terminal sa hood or any metallic part ng oto (bad).

Pagsasamahin ko lang ang mga suggestions:

    1. check the the battery connections - your car 'can start', with the intermittent battery connection and it can sustain the engine running with just the alternator on. But with your headlights on,- it may stall the engine because the battery is not properly(tightly) connected.

    2. as soon as you start the car you may remove the connection to the + terminal of the battery to see the charging capacity of your alternator. Normally, it can support an idling engine.

    3. you can check the dc voltage across the battery while the engine is running/idling,- healthy readings are about 13.8v+

    Good luck.

Madaming beses ko na naencounter ito. Dun sa MB100, had to get a new terminal clamp (the old one was loose).

    Hi Guys,

I was able to fixed na ung problem about the battery, using ung mga suggestions (very helpful ).

Eto kaya reason why mahina yung head light ko and pagsabay sabay ko on yung aircon, head light and hazard, namamatay yung engine ko.

Hope you could help me guys. Thanks!

Change the battery now, bro.... Voltage across the terminal while engine is off, should be 12V. At 10V, I think 1 cell is dead....

Your battery is dying and needs to be replaced. Normal charge for a good battery is 12-13 volts when engine is OFF. When engine is ON, it should be 13-14 volts.
