I replaced the stock GS battery of my Strada with Amaron. It is indeed heavier. Got it at 6K from Kia Motors Baguio.

next time nga, ittry ko ito, kaso mukhang bihira pa sa mga battery outlet shop yung may ganitong brand "AMARON". So far I heard good reviews on this. Kaya interested akong subukan sa susunod.

sayang, recently bought a Motolite Gold 2sm for our van w/ 15 mo. warranty, worth 4300 (w/ trade-in already), so far Motolite got my trust and satisfaction for the last decade of patronizing this brand. It can last up to 2 years after the warranty has gone. yung GS at Outlast hindi tumatagal sa amin e.

Just a query on car batteries, ano ba ginagwa nila sa trade-in na battery? inaayos, nililinis and binebenta ba nila ulit ito? I fear that baka ni rerecycle lang nila ang old batteries and sell it like brand new.

From what I saw in Discovey Channel, old batteries are recycled by melting melting down the lead to liquid form, then its recast into lead bars before being shipped out for manufacturing. Not sure if this also applies in RP. According to the show 90 someting percent of lead is recylced.

from what i know, the trade in batteries are recycled.. the battery is pulverized and melted the different parts are then segregated and recycled to make new plastic components, the LEAD part of the battery is then melted and recycled.

Most types of batteries can be recycled. lead-acid automotive batteries (nearly 90% are recycled)

During the recycling, the used lead is then mixed with new lead... it is during this critical phase that purity must be achieved...
calcium in the battery strengthens the lead from mechanical stress but increase its mechanical instability...

during the life of the battery, cycling from high to low loads, shortens the battery life... eventually particles of lead or the separators will fail and battery voltage and current will drop...

The more pure the materials used, and stringent the manufacturing process the better...

according to the website, AMARON batteries is under jonston controls ... JONSTON CONTROLS makes the best and most powerful batteries,, ONE of them is OPTIMAX and VARTA... so i guess this battery does adhere to ISO specification and stringent quality controls... if im not mistaken, there's no local battery (motolite/outlast/imarflex/ETC) that has passed and international testing and accreditation...

ang hirap kasi nga baguhin ang nakasanayan kahit hindi maganda... sanay na tao sa motolite eh... tambak kasi advertisement (pang-matagalan)... pero if you look outside the box and beyond, madame quality and performing batteries out there better than those locally sold here...

Pero ang bigat talaga ng battery is one good sign kung tatagal ito or hindi. Telecom batteries na 3Sm din vs regular car batt na 3Sm, ang layo ng timbang eh.
miko - would you happen to know the number of Jawe marketing? or meron pa bang ibang stores na nagbebenta ng Amaron Battery? i need a 1SN battery e hehe motolite excel (24months warranty) is priced at 4,200. a little too expensive for me.

Just got my Amaron 3SMF for the MB100. Hope it will last. Parang ang lakas ng cranking power niya. Grabe redondo nung MB from cold start. Akala mo small gas engine lang siya. hehe.

Srp was Php4900 minus Php300 to trade in my old Motolite Gold.

My 2014 Altis G is 27 months na. I think I need to replace the battery.

Casa said the battery of my car is 1SM BUT I called 4 Amaron dealers and they insist that it is 1SN. I think the warranty is 21 months. Powerstruck seems to be the popular dealer here but it is too far from my place. The price includes delivery though.

    Amaron Main 1SN P4600

    RBM Autoparts (BF) 1SN P4600
    1SM P3700

    SJ Battery (Buendia) 1SN P4895
    1SM P3700

    Powerstruck (QC) 1SM P3700

We also tried Amaron batteries and so far no compalints unlike Motolite Gold 21. We had replaced 3 Motolite Gold 21 under warranty because the battery was weak. Even if it was covered under the warranty period. 3 units is still alarming. One supplier told me the reason was Motolite was using recycled plates.

Bumili si erpat ng 3SM battery ng Amron last month for our Pajero. Hindi ko alam kung anong model since sabi niya may iba ibang model daw from low end to high end but AFAIR yung mid-level ata or katumbas ng Motolite Gold.

So far, okay naman daw ang performance. Malakas and stable ang charge.

Please correct me. Iniisip ko nalang baka sa global warming or effect ng environment, baka masyado ng mainit kaya bumababa yung life span ng mga battery ngayon.

But anyway, so far so good naman sa Amaron battery. Try niyo. May mga 1 year pa siguro ako sa motolite excel ko ngayon and when the time comes I will definitely try Amaron brand too. Tignan natin!
