This was the first Camry to be sold as a Daihatsu; the Daihatsu Altis was identical to the export version of the Camry.Fifth generation (2002–2006)
Daihatsu continued with its twin Altis model for the Japanese market.

Im not surprised though as the Avanza is also available as a rebadged Daihatsu, so it could be a new Toyota strategy... for whatever it's worth.

It looks wierd with that D logo on the grille. It looks like a copy from Toyota eventhough its a Toyota.

i always admire those so called "mid-size" sedan. well, if they are planning to sell it locally at giveaway price of 700K then, it will give Civics, Mazda3 a run for their money- that is if they are going to sell it locally.
