The MG5 sedan and RX5 SUV look a bit plain compared to the ZS because those two are Roewe models re-badged as MGs for the Philippines. These is the reason it does not follow the Mazda-look for the ZS and MG6.

SAIC positions MG as the sportier brand while it seems Roewe is more like the conservative (more affordable) brand.
