Backreading on the thread where you also posted this question would have answered it.

On my Optra before it's 8.5 for city and 11 max on pure highway drives. Mixed would be at 9-10. That's for unleaded gas. For LPG Sir chuaed already gave the figures. HTH

my 2005 optra's consumption is similar to batang_raon14's. i still don't think that's at the level of 2005 accords.

overall parts lang issue ko :-p gas consumption is ok lang naman.

Buy - it has a low resale value so you will get a fully loaded car for a very low price.

Buy - if you drive a lot of high-ways like I do.

I've had mine for 5 years and its reliable and easy to drive. Also, OEM parts can now be readiliy sourced outside the casa.

    Chevrolet Optra (2004-2009, used)

    WHAT'S GOOD:
    *Low Price
    *Comfortable Ride
    *Wagon versatility (wagon)

    WHAT'S BAD
    *Fuel Efficiency
    *Niggling problems
    *Interior quality

VERDICT - Unless you need the versatility of a wagon at a low price, there are good Japanese alternatives of high price but good quality.

I guess some people are luckier than others. My 2006 Optra MT has had no major issues ever since. Haven't had even a flat tire. Mileage is already at 127K.

    Sirs,

Ask ko lang how much nagastos nyo sa replacement ng timing belt ng 2005 Optra 1.6 LS MT.

    Any suggestions how to check.

    Thank you very much.

it must be the timing set to be changed not only the belt.
similar principle with motorcycles, it must not only be the chain to be replaced but also the sprockets at the same time.

kaya pagpalit mo ng timing set, the following must be included:
timing belt (approx. Php 2,400. Feb 2010 price pa ito)
tensioner (approx. Php 3,500. 2010 price pa ito)
    tension idler
    water pump

di ko na matandaan ang price ng ibang parts, but I'm sure you will not go beyond 15k (outside casa work, mas mahal sa casa). call Mario 0918-7801507.

sa maintenance period ng chevy, at 60k mileage timing set are to be replaced/serviced. me maingay na ba sa makina mo (yung parang matinis na tunog ng nagpiprito after you start the engine? and in which after few minutes eh nawawala yung sound?

    goodluck

Good AM po mga tsikoteers. I'm also interested sa Optra 2005 model. Maganda kasi ang second hand price niya. I'm looking at the 1.8L version. Kumusta naman po kaya ang fuel consumption nito? Considering na A/T ito. Ang parts at usual change oil puwede na ba sa suking gas station? Since I know this is Daewoo, mga parts kaya nito makukuha din sa mga korean car parts dealers?

    1.8 LT?
