The current line-up of Chevrolet Philippines from GMDAT are continuations of platforms and engines originally developed under Daewoo. In fact, the Optra, Aveo and Spark are merely rebadged Daewoo products.
It's only newer products like the Captiva and the Cruze that are fully GM developed, post-Daewoo...

December 10th, 2009 02:26 PM #12GM Daewoo now produces vehicles and kits for Chevrolet, Buick, Opel, Vauxhall, Pontiac, Holden and Suzuki that are offered in more than 150 markets on six continents. 67% of Daewoo are owned by GM, 10+% by suzuki and the rest to others. that is why in some country optra is called forenza or lacetti while captiva is in some country called winstorm.
