Mechanically its the same as the outgoing model, according to a Top Gear Philippines test, the Aveo 1.5 A/T gets around 11 km/L. Tested alongside the Aveo was the Jazz 1.3 i-DSI CVT which got 12 km/L and the gasoline Matrix 1.6 which got 8.5-9 km/L.




Standard features include the ff:

- Keyless entry
- 15 inch alloy wheels

- Fog lights

True, it's gotten a bit more expensive, but I can't really complain about the P670K starting price, i've seen the car and its loaded.
Standard Dual-Airbags, ABS, 15 inch alloys, Keyless entry, Power windows/mirrors/door locks, rear spoiler, fog lights...

Its closest competitor is the Jazz 1.3 S which starts at P650K.
It costs P20K less than the Aveo, but comes with no airbags, no ABS, no High-Mount (third) brake light, no keyless entry and comes with smaller 14 inch wheels.
(A few years back Honda used to offer an optional P40K safety package for the 1.3 liter Jazz, more or less we know how much the safety equipment is worth)

i was there earlier for the Official Launching of the New Chevrolet Aveo 1.5 LS hatchback 2009.

and whew! it was Nice, Yung harap astig and sobrang eye catcher.

bias aside: im so getting this, ill trade my old aveo for this. the Automatic tranny looks nice. the interior has improved a LOT!

My 2007 1.5 Chevy Aveo has an FC of 11-14 Km/L

yung Yaris ko na 1.5 L, 12-14 Km/L

so okay na rin, Ill trade my old aveo for this.

Wow 11km/L?? Mukang medyo matipid ata, yung 1.5 A/T EcotecII na Aveo ko po mapalad na maka 8-9km/L city driving maski konti trapik... baka naman perfect yung conditions nung nagtest... eh same din naman yun sa engine nung bago ngayon eh...

The only difference between the two is yung bagong Aveo Hatchback merong VGiS, so mas matipid na siya sa Gas

to be frankly though, mas maganda yung rear nung dati kaysa yung ngayon. The front looks really nice though.
