Anyone tried to find out at what speed does the Cruze's speedlimiter stop the car from accelerating any faster?

Sir, I was able to test my cruze ls a/t at 150 kmph, sctex (ssshhhh ). It was a brief run though. Galing ako Subic with my family. There were 3 adults and 2 kids plus gamit sa trunk. Super stable sya at sa tingin ko kaya pa nya. What i like about the cruze e 120kmph ka na 2000 rpm ka lang. . Para nga yatang 2500 rpm lang ako when I hit 140-150kmph. My mileage for the Subic-QC run was 11.76 kmpl. hehehe

ganito ba talaga yung sa mga a/t models? sabagay 6 speed kasi.. yung LS m/t ko goes to about 2500 rpm * 100 kmph and about 3000 rpm * 120 kmph though hindi na din halos tumataas dun until 140-150 kmph, lightfooted driving except during some small bursts when i floor the beast pampaalis antok.. this was also at sctex going to subic.. the monitor showed 5-6 l/100km nlex to sctex.. i was able to get 15 km/l based on manual calculation, full tank sa petron nlex then full tank again sa petron subic.. not really that acurate i know since i used 2 different pumps, but at least it gave me a rough idea.. very happy and satisfied considering 40+km pa lang ang tinatakbo ng cruze ko when i left las piñas (got the unit tues last week then did that trip fri) yun nga lang, wala talaga ko maasahan bilis coming from a stop.. it's like this car refuses to move.. hopefully that would improve..

the real destination was bataan via subic and the following day, from bataan diretso kami baguio again via sctex, this time i was able to push the car to 160 kmph for a short time, baka mawili kasi parang gusto pa nya.. we took marcos highway going up baguio, dun sya napalaban, parang hirap umakyat forcing me to shift down to first gear on some areas.. but i'm also confident that would still improve..

i don't really consider this a fast car unless maka buwelo which is fine specially since riding comfort is top notch.. handling is excellent as well.. by the time we got back home, the car recorded 860+km sa odo..

what i'm hoping to get advice on is, do you guys think i need to have the car serviced after that long road trip? may mga measures ba kayo pwede i-suggest that i take? or should i just enjoy the car up to 10,000 km for it's first scheduled pms and do nothing for the mean time?

pina paint sealant ko nga din pala yung cruze sa BNT las piñas and it looks great..

As for having it checked up after the long drive...it's not really needed. I took a 600-700km trip. We climbed up Baguio..and had to go up in RPMs on the steep parts. That was over a month ago and the car is still doing fine. I would just visually check the disc brakes, fluids, tires. Everything else should be fine.

i agree..by no means is it a fast car. The torque at lower speeds isn't quite there for the ls/at..not sure about the m/t. From a stop position..acceleration is a bit sluggish but pwede na. but when you get moving a bit, it can haul ass.

* KrisKros: P1400 yung rate ng sealant for the cruze bro pero kung regular ka naman, baka pwede ka humingi ng discount.. pulido naman pagkakagawa, may wax before and after.. highly recommended lalo na black pa ata yung sayo..

parang di lang kasi ako sanay haha.. this is the first car i've ever owned na 10k km pa ang first pms.. kahit yung optra ko noon, 5k yung first.. guess i just have to trust chevy on this one.. naisip ko lang kasi, i mostly use my i10 sa everyday city driving ko (hanep naman kasi sa tipid) and it took almost a year ata before my alterra reached 10k km, e parang ganun din halos magiging gamit nitong cruze ko.. siguro di naman aabot ng isang taon, pero sure matagal.. haha maybe i'm just worrying too much.. gawin ko na lang siguro pag 6 months na, pa service ko na din kahit wala pa 10k..

I just followed the 10K PMS and no problem whatsoever. Perhaps what you will constantly check is your tire pressure (that if you are not using nitro). It is so much hassle to check its pressure every week cuz of its tendency to go higher if the temp outside is higher as well.

Just enjoy cruzin' with your cruze.

220kph is the speed limit for the Cruze sir. Also an rpm limiter at 6200. You can go 220kph top on a long safe stretch.

there is no room to maneuver a screwdriver... had to use tie clip to hold them together....

^^ thanks. not sure kasi kung kelangan 'to ng fofi ko kaya gusto ko talaga makita yung mesh nyo at malaman kung paano na-integrate sa bumper. from the pic posted, malaki pala talaga mga opening sa lower bumper ng cruze kaya talagang ayos din na malagyan sya ng mesh

Well, iwas pusoy na lang so to speak kasi nangyari na sa akin na lumusot ang bato at binutas yong condenser ko. Since my cruze is in the casa right now for the repair/repaint of the front bumper, I have asked them to install it but this time it is color RED (thanks to Sir Awallit). Will find out tomorrow the result once I pick up my car.
