    Already debuted in the US.

Base engine is a 1.8L 136hp and 123lb-ft of torque.

Higher models like the LT and LTZ will be powered by a rather tiny but powerful 1.4L Turbocharged 4Cyl making 138hp and 148lb-ft of torque.

Maybe this is what set up they've found to save them fuel.

TCCCI should bring this quick to replace the aging Optra.

Sputter... Daewoo was good before GM bought it out?

Do you know why Daewoo was bought out? It was because it went completely belly-up. Banrkupt. Kaput. Dedbol. Pak-tay.

Where Hyundai licensed from Mitsubishi, Kia licensed from Mazda and Ssangyong licensed from Mercedes, which earned them varying degrees of success... Daewoo licensed technology from GM.

Daewoo cars were built mostly on GM bodies and with GM engines... which would have been okay in theory... but GM sucks at making small cars.

The one bright "Spark" for Daewoo was the Matiz. And that's because it wasn't GM. The design was from Guigaro (who also designed the iconic Fiat Uno and first generation VW Golf) and the platform was an evolution of a Suzuki-based platform (thankfully, neither GM-USA nor Opel had microcars).

And that's why the Matiz still has resale value... whereas the GM-Opel and J-Body based Esperos and Racers can be bought secondhand for almost nothing.

That said... the Optra sucked because it was developed in-house by Daewoo... GM merely rebadged it and modernized the design when they used it to relaunch Daewoo as GMDAT after the bankruptcy. The very first all GMDAT design was the Captiva.

According to press reports, the new Cruze is actually pretty good... some have benchmarked it against the Mk2 Focus and found it to actually drive better. I'm with-holding judgement until I drive it for myself.

niky alam mo naman pala bakit bumagsak daewoo a defeat is a defeat first and foremost walng kwenta itong cruze pwede mo nga lang idrive ito sa parking lot, reason nila baka daw macarnap(kapal ng mukha bakit yung iba want to sawa test drive all alabang branche). ikaw bumili ka baka agent ka ng chevy, wala naman talaga kwenta ito ikaw na nagsabi optra nga gawa ng daewoo tapos inayos ng chevy which is wala pa din kwenta and most optra owners will agree. ikaw bili ka na ng chevy na para kang bumili ng bato.

sa mga di nakakaalam cruze was built and desingned in korea- lahat as in lahat with little input from other chevy walang kwenta brand.

malamang may magtatangol sa chevy usual colonial mentality crap!

Parang hindi mo ata kilala si Niky Tamayo para mag salita ka ng ganyan. Baka gusto mo ma-ban dito?

Alam mo ba yung "there's always room for improvement"?

Sigurado ka bang Designed & Engineered sa Korea ang Cruze? Ganyan ba kababa ang tingin mo sa Korean Makers? Built in Korea, maybe. For Asian Countries.

Kung Chevrolet Venture maiintindihan ko pa, Made in Shanghai eh

At bakit parang ang laki ng galit mo sa Chevrolet? inaano ka?

At kung makapag salita ka parang napaka ganda ng oto mo. Naka Range Rover ka ba?
