so much for global synchronized growth

UK economy in weakest growth since 212 - BBC News
The UK economy grew at its slowest rate since 2012 in the first quarter of the year, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has said.

GDP growth was 0.1%, down from 0.4% in the previous quarter, driven by a sharp fall in construction output and a sluggish manufacturing sector.

    RBA can't tighten

RBA keeps cash rate on hold for 19th straight meeting | afr.com

The Reserve Bank of Australia has left official borrowing costs unchanged for a 19th straight meeting, a record run of stability, as house prices continue to fall.

Board members meeting on Tuesday left the overnight cash rate at 1.5 per cent, where it has been since August 2016.

A slowing housing market, weak inflation and soft wages growth have left the Reserve Bank with little choice but to further delay its plans to normalise monetary policy. Most economists and financial markets don't expect a rate cut before 2019.

    No offense to oldies.
Wondering if a 92 year old man can still think critically.

He is nearly a century old.

Iran can still trade in Yuan...

    i said it before

Trump's isolationist, protectionist, inward-looking, America-first policy will hasten the decline of the US dollar as world's most widely used currency

and incentivize the use of RMB globally

i use the CRB index (among others) to track what's going on with commodities prices

i don't have to look at individual commodities

there are many commodities indices but CRB is most popular

so what is the CRB index?

    Investopedia says:

    Commodity Research Bureau Index (CRB)

    so what's going on?

so if you're wondering why prices of food, fuel, raw materials, construction materials, almost everything have risen

aside from the effect of TRAIN law

    there

    that's why

this is how well you did
