Not sure which part of india you stayed in. We ate meals at generally the same hours as the Philippines and the US. Places I've been to are Goa, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Agra, Rajastan, and Jaipur.

Convenience stores can be found in the big cities. In outsourcing hubs like Bangalore, Hyderabad and Noida, you can see one at practically every corner.

I do agree, drivers are far worse in India than in the Philippines.

Convenience stores like 7-11, Family mart, and etc. are nowhere to be found here.

Maybe the c-store you meant is Kirana. If yes, then they are everywhere.

I've been to major cities, bangalore, new delhi, chennai, mumbai, and etc. People start filling the restaurants around 9pm.

Anyway, i love the availability of lemon soda and fruit juices anywhere i go.

My wife regularly visits India and a common reminder sa kanya is to wear pants.

We both love Indian food kaya its not an issue for us.

Traffic is same as Pinas BUT we only go there to visit so may driver kami - not sure if your company will provide a car for you

As for working abroad... not sure if I mentioned it here or on another forum.

We Pinoys work harder if we don't work for fellow Pinoys. - deny if you want but its true
I feel like we Pinoys are very similar to Malaysians... but we don't have Petronas $$$

Living abroad is a total change in lifestyle. I've been abroad for more than 10 years and I still can't believe the things I have to do to survive

I had a maid, pero sa liit ng bahay I felt na nawala privacy namin.
You have to cook as magsasawa ka din kaka-kain sa labas.
I have laundry allowance for 2 pcs per day, so maglalaba pa din ako.
etc etc etc - I think its time for a return assignment for me... then back to the problem mentioned above

Instead of talking carnal, you should proclaim to the world the strengths of the typical Bol-anon guy, ray bai.[emoji4]

tumutugma na yung forecast ni singaporean kishore mahbubani.

"For more than 1,800 of the last 2,000 years, China and India were always the two largest economies in the world . . . the past 200 years have been a major historical aberration," the professor said.

"It's perfectly natural for China, India to resume their places . . . all aberrations come to a natural end."

Kaya cathey go to india. Learn the indian dance.

Thanks. Good thing you mentioned that. I just found out today na gusto kami i technical ng company which means AVOID paying the redundancy. Sobrang sama ng loob namin mga employees, in just one day biglang magugulo buhay namin with no warning at all.

Now they are pushing for us to find jobs within the org, e pano kung hindi naman job fit? So baka ganyan nga gawin nila, sabihan na inofferan kami para hindi kami mag qualify for the redundancy package. That is the least they can do for us loyal employees, and here they are screwing us over

They are pressuring me nga to make a decision Q2 pa naman yung target date of turnover sa India. I was told that only HiPO employees were offered relocation to India but even my own German VP told me he does not want me in India because I will not like it there. Manila head thinks the same.

Yes I qualify for retirement but it is such a small amount. My target is a redundancy package pero pahirapan daw yan. Meron daw dito 1 yr floating ayaw pa offeran. I thought bawal lampas 6 mos?

*cathy HR is your friend. Redundancy program needs to be disclosed to DOLE and criteria must be clearly defined (i.e. qualifications, service years, compensation, ex-gratia, tax impact, etc.). If none, then talk to your union or to a labor arbiter. MNCs avoid labor issues like a plague.

Dreamur is right, maybe you can consult your HR or lawyer friends if you have. Based on what I gathered, companies cannot just declare redundancy, they have to prove that. Also for their protection din sa mga lawsuits and fines in case may maghabol. Our company is like that (very compliant and protective of their reputation and assets) so I'm pretty sure what they did is within the frameworks of the law.

    All the best.

Unfortunately, HR is the worst person or department to seek help from because they are PRO management and they want the option that will cost the least money for the company. This is information coming from upper management - Head of department, that treats me more than a best friend (galing sa kanya yan) kaya napayuhan niya ko na talagang yung tipid option ang gusto ng company. I was also told by friends with friends that were made redundant na patigasan at paiyakan talaga kasi mas gusto ng company na mag resign na lang kami and there were those na floating for 6 mos pero na offeran in the end.

After giving my loyalty, dedication, malasakit and a third of my life to this company, papahirapan pa nila kami sa comp package?!? They really screwed us over, kaya ipaglalaban ko talaga na makakuha ng redundancy package. Galit na galit German boss ko pero walang magawa e, they dissolved our fcking department in Manila, at kami daw ang so far pinakamalaking department na na outsource, I won't be surprised if one of these days mag exit na sila ng PH.

if they are offering you a job in other departments and you decline.. then you are not eligible for redundancy / retrenchment.. may job nga eh.. ayaw mo lang.. basta yung salary hindi pwede mas mababa sa natatanggap mo now.. kahit anong position pa yun..

putting an employee in to floating status is just a tactic.. they are forcing the employee to resign.. patigasan.. sino tatagal nang 6 months without salary.. lalo na kung bread winner ka..

yes ang alam ko nga 6 months maximum.. so pag more than 6 months ka nang floating.. you can go to DOLE and file a complaint..

What if hindi job fit? Kasi parang tinatapon na lang kami kahit saan para lang masabi na may job kami.

For example, SME ako and my work is QA but the job they are offering me is a processor/report preparation job. Yung qini QA ko dati ako na gagawa That's a downgrade in task (though I was told same salary and position) Isa pang screw over, lined up na ko for AVP promotion, all of us will start from scratch once we move to another department

Also, if I decline the relocation to India, hindi na rin ako eligible for redundancy? What woman would want to move to India

i mean departments dito sa atin.. hindi yung sa India.. if you decline position sa India.. entitled ka pa din dapat sa redundancy.. hindi ka nila pwede i force mag transfer sa India kasi ibang location na yun..
