    I am using the following:

    CitisecOnline
    - has the most features i think among all online PH brokers(research, news, charts etc..)
    - has the most users
    - sometimes slow
    - suitable for newbies I guess

    Philstocks
    - quite fast, no research

    Others:
    BPI - problematic
    Firstmetro - seems OK
    Wealthsec - no idea
    Maketrade - new, no idea

thanks userfriendly & xninjax! i'm thinking about investing in firstmetro & RCBC. Is it necessary for me to attend the seminar or could the stock exchange transactions be easily learned in online tutorials? Honestly, i really don't have enough idea about this.

Advice lang since no idea ka pa sa stock market. Try to learn as much as you can before you bet your money. Research and learn. Try to learn what the different ratios mean, P/E, P/B, P/S, book value etc... Dont treat the stock market as a casino. Its easy to make money and lose money if you gamble on the market. But from experience, when I treat it as a quick money making machine, thats when I lose the most.

iba approach ni warren buffet. fundamental analysis ata siya, for long term investing. i suggest learning how to read the candlestick chart, learn to see the trends in the charts. parang surfing yan, what is hard is reading the waves not riding them.

    Warren Buffet quotes

"Rule no 1: Never lose money! Rule no 2: Never forget rule no 1!"

"Be fearful when others are greedy and be greedy when others are fearful"

"I don't look to jump over 20 foot bars. I look around for 1 foot bars I can step over."

Actually, deep down Warren Buffet is a hedge fund manager. It's more complicated that fundamental investing. For example, he highly uses leverage by using GEICO's insurance "float".. besides, not everybody has the power to pick up the phone and give JP Morgan's CEO a call right?

Disclaimer: Long-time Warren Buffet fan. We own BRK shares too. And yes, bias ako sa kanya.

mahirap naman yung rule no 1 niya. sometimes you have to lose money in order to gain money.

i dont care about his quotes, just tell me his picks!

If you open an account with COL Financial, they actually have "stock picks" - nandun na if you should buy, sell, hold, or ignore a particular stock.

You could also try Bo Sanchez's Truly Rich Club which has a monthly Stocks Update.

Those 3 are fairly stable in their respective industries. A better question is who is more profitable or have a more sophisticated growth forecast. What is their P/E rank? That should give you a rough idea.
