Badtrip na badtrip ako sa Meralco. Imagine, tumira ako ng 1 month dun sa maliit na bahay ko sa Makati. Ang gamit ko lang dun ay elec.fan, 5 cubic feet na refrigerator, 22 inch na TV at 3 10 watts na fluoresecent lamp. Pati washing machine pa pala, PC at Dvd player.
Imagine inabot ng 3,700 bill ko? Eh halos 10 hours akong wala sa bahay. Dati normal bill ko ay 1,700 lang. Medyo madalas pa ako mag computer nun. Tapos pinalitang ng digital ang meter ko, ayun ngkanda loko-loko na. Yung kapitbahay ko dun nag aaircon tuwing gabi ng 3/4 HP eh bill nila 3,800. Tapos madami pa sila sa bahay. Yung electric meter nila yung luma pa rin.
Ano ba pwede ko gawin dito?

Bro., try forwarding your complaint to Meralco.
Call 16220 or 16211. I believe they'll address your problem professionally.

diba meron din nagrereklamo dito bout naman sa bill niya sa tubig? abot ata 10k yun e.

nangyari na din yan sa kaibigan namin. sa makati din.
nung una old house, madami sila appliances at madami sila sa bahay, ang bill nasa 10k.
nagpagawa sila ng bagong bahay same street, bagong malaking bahay, green design sya so less gamit ng electricity sa umaga.
ayun doble ang kuryente dahil sa digital meter.

seriously, i think meron modus ang Meralco dito. at tingin ko din madami ang apektado - kelangan lang mainform ang lahat na something's going on.

Yep call them up. They have a usage history and peaks like that are unusual unless you added more load to the system. Check the usage graph on your bill. Kung tumaas bigla na wala namang bagong appliance there's something wrong with the meter. Kung di naman tumaas pero ang amount due tumaas may problema ang billing system.
Pero kung friendly friends kayo bigla ng kapitbahay mo magduda ka na hehe.
Happened to us pero na misread lang ang meter (old analog) halos nag-triple ang bill namin. Meralco resolved it in less than a week.Last edited by JohnM; June 6th, 2012 at 12:10 PM.
