I thought of developing an Order to Cash and Procure to Pay system for startup and small business. I already talk to some of my friends and they are willing to participate in this project.
I convinced them to do it free then payments or revenue will come from support services. We will give it to small or startup companies as freeware since they don't have enough cash to get even SAP B1 or Dynamics.
Do you think this is worth to pursue? May I have some tips on how I can get some funding para man lang sa mga meetings or brain-storming sessions.

Perhaps too much to ask but if you can make it scalable and cloud based, it will be attractive to potential investors. Also bundling in OCR functionality would be nice to have. What platform will you be using? Will it be a full time project?

The plan is to do it module by module for scalability purposes. GUI is browser so it can be on-premise and can be put into cloud also.
I want to use open-source tech (Python, PHP/Javascript, PostgreSQL,Linux) but there's a suggestion that we go C# and MSSQL. I would still need to convince the team to go open-source since Windows would entail licenses cost.
This is on a free time basis for now. My proposal to the team is that we create a prototype (Order to Cash) first, then look for investors.
