I need to unpack my office stuff na. Mabait talaga office namin. Sila na nag pack ng gamit namin and all I had to do was pick it up sa office (except for my stuff na locked sa cabinet) Its been 2 months, wala na siguro virus eto. Pero parang masakit pa rin gawin I miss working

Packing your stuff makes it feel worse after hearing you’ve been let go from your job.

I feel bad a few months ago when we had to let go of some people when a client decided to cut our work engagement. This week I felt better when I heard that those people already looking to start new jobs.

They did it for the whole department kaya [emoji14] I really have to give it to the company, they treat their employees well. Minalas lang kami na nadamay department namin sa politics ng isang evil director who hates our VP/department head in Manila kaya nilipat sa India buong department namin

Saka hello shadow, HR gave me 2 additional months to think about my decision kasi nga may order from the that evil director to keep me in the organization [emoji14] Kahit August last day ko employed pa ko until end of September [emoji14]

My boss loves me, hello [emoji14] Sabi ko sa mga boss punta muna ko US, next year na ko ulit mag work hehe

I am working on my CV and it has too many company specific jargon. How do I make this generic and attractive kaya. Kasi yung summary of qualification sa CV ko, mga boss ko halos gumawa (it was a requirement for my promotion) and it's meant to look good within the organization

I haven't been in a job interview since 2008 I want to work already but my colleagues who resigned late last year, 90% ata wala pa rin work, though I know it's because they are not looking. My one friend 6 mos na looking at rejected lahat. Makes me wonder if there is something wrong with the CV kasi hindi umaabot sa interview e. Kaya critical talaga na attractive yung CV

Padala mo sakin CV mo I can help you refine it. You can also browse LinkedIn profiles and see how the good ones are able to keep their descriptions concise without diluting the impact of their achievements.

Attractive resumes are concise and easy so see the highlights achievements and accomplishments from present and previous jobs/roles. Resumes that only shows a long list of bland skills without any strong emphasis on how those skills were used are likely going to be skimmed over.

Here's a good article how a typical resume by IT engineering professionals can be improved.

wow that is so nice of you! Hiya naman ako saka I don't know how to make my CV understandable to someone outside of the organization. I don't have linkedin and have no plans of making an account.

I just messaged my former manager (Filipino AVP) and he told me what I need to highlight. I am shy to send him my CV so he can edit it because he left the company almost 2 yrs ago. Honestly, when he was my direct manager, I was kinda one of his headaches LOL! If I don't wanna do something kasi I don't do it talaga and I am always late, but over time I saw how much of a good leader he was, I became obedient na :P I even cried when he was not my manager anymore because I had to report directly to our German VP (in preparation for my transfer to Germany which did not materialize lol)

Is it true that there's a slim possibility of getting a job without linkedin? I assume linked in is like a CV so that has all my information (full name, address, birthday, education and work) It's practically a summary of my life. I don't want those information online and accessible to everyone. Pareho kami ni UF ungoogleable though I have FB and she deleted hers na.

I plan to submit my CV directly though I only have 3 prospects as of now, my Paulinian friend said I really need a linkedin account When I was a fresh grad in the early 2000s (yes I am that old ) We personally went to offices to drop off our CV. My jobs kasi the first one was through my Kuya and the other through my first job BFF kaya my CV was given directly to HR

My linkedin doesn’t have my address and birthday. Just professional profile. And only people who add me up can see it, non-contacts just see the headline title (i.e. jut703, salesman at xxx company).

It helps if you’re looking for a job, I regularly get a lot of messages from headhunters. I interview every now and then just to see my market rate.

Alternative is to utilize your network of friends that are higher ups in other companies to get leads on good openings.

Oh, that's nice to know. If I set it to private (highest setting), will recruiters be able to see my profile pa din? I want sana only recruiters can see (aside from my friends)

It's so embarrassing when people ask me what I do and I say nothing [emoji24] Totoo yung sinabi ni CVT that work is dignity (something like that) hehe

TLDR our department was outsourced to India and I declined my boss' offer to transfer to India or another department in PH

For the hipo employees (high performing) our names were routed to different departments so we can be retained in the company. My German boss offered to transfer me to India which I declined. I asked everyone in my family and they would rather that I'd be jobless than transfer to India.

I was offered several positions in Manila, it was a VERY HARD DECISION for me, one director in HQ sent an email to retain me specifically (they needed my knowledge as a specialist for their project) they gave me EVERYTHING I asked for (WFH, Flexible hours, Sabbatical in 2021 AND the AVP position) BUT the reason lang naman I stayed in the company for over a decade is because of my German bosses. It's like there's no use in me staying kung iba na boss ko. I figured this is the universe telling me to get out of my comfort zone. Saka doc, ang ganda na ng pangalan ko dun e ang taas ng expectation sakin kasi mga German boss ko sobrang makabenta sakin. I do not want to disappoint them, leave while on top, plus sayang redundancy package :P

I told my German boss my plan was to go back 2022 pag balik ko from the US, so that is NOW. But then yung mga backer ko sa Manila na VP ng branch at COO nag resign ng December Bad trip yan local company ka pina pirate lahat ng management namin! I don't want to work where they transferred (Chinese owned)

Key duties and accomplishments lang, huwag mo na isama na nakakatawa ang boss mo at niregaluhan mo sya ng ganito etc. etc. [emoji16]

Hahaha! Nireregaluhan din kaya ako ng boss ko. Pinaka classic yung wala siya time bilhin yung gusto ko, inutusan ba naman yung isang pinoy AVP to buy [emoji23]

Seriously, ang dami ko kasi naging position. Inisip ko pati ba trainings ko from more than 10 yrs ago isama ko pa. Pero feeling ko importante naman like yung signature verification training ko.
