I agonized for days, 3 days ata ako walang tulog pero my Mom helped me decide din. She said that was what I originally wanted naman. Basta make sure that I can make my money last and at least I can stay for as long as I want in the US. May side din kasi ako na I don't wanna go to work while there is covid, although the director allowed me to work from home 100% until the pandemic is over, I think it would be so unfair for her other staff.

Salamat sa support, I do hope I made the right decision.
Reading this post about not being able to decide makes me feel how I feel every time. Are you a Libra? I'm not much into Zodiac signs/horoscopes etc but my friend who's good at it was able to describe me and others based on our signs. And I was surprised na it was really accurate.

Btt: 2 companies scheduled to call me today. Can't decide on either. 1 is near the house, offering midshift with lower salary. The other is offering temporary wfh with higher salary but when it's no longer temporary is in BGC[emoji37]. Both have pros and cons. The extra higher pay I know will just go to gas and parking. But if the wfh is going to be long, then that's advantageous to me pero mahirap asahan yun. I like the 1st company too but scared to work in an office at this time due to the increase in cases.[emoji31]

Yung near sa location ang pipiliin ko kaagad dyan.. Try to negotiate, you will never know..
Before I signed up for my current employer.. I have second thoughts during contract signing because the increase in salary seems not enough (kasi di mo alam politika ng company, you need to consider kung kelan ka pa ba pwede ma-promote.. dapat yung asking mo is sustainable halimbawa sa 2-5 years na walang promotion.. promotion not increase iba pa yun).. Then I voiced out my concern and stated the reason why.. And then the Manager went outside the room and talked to somebody in the phone.. Pagbalik nya, nagulat ako meron palang 2nd contract na printed na!! With the amount na I'm expecting.. [emoji23]
Deep inside gusto ko pa sana magbiro, may 3rd contract pa kaya?? Hahahahahaha [emoji23]
If kaya pa maghintay, baka naman... Tawagan ka pa ng mas better..
    Good luck po..

I just had a call with HR and the managing director of the company. I was given the computation na for the "final pay" but after the call, HR told me that they are STILL giving me the option to stay and they will rescind the contract of termination. HR told me na she saw the communication among upper management and I am highly recommended so "isang sabi" ko lang daw sa Director for sure she will take me in.

OH MY! DECISIONS DECISIONS!!! Kilala ko ng HR because of my sabbatical last year and she knows how management moved heaven and earth so I can go to the US and still keep my job. She said na big deal yung pumayag yung director for another sabbatical for 2021 so I should really reconsider.

am just hoping for the best for you ms cathy. bwiset lang kasi itong covid na ito, hindi ko pwedeng sabihin na enjoy ka muna while waiting for the right opportunity haha.

YES I AM A LIBRA! WOW!!! Baka kaya matagal tayo mag decide kasi we weight things sobra?

Re your dilemma, no brainer sakin yung malapit sa bahay ang pipiliin ko. That is a RULE that my parents set for me na I should study or work malapit sa bahay and I am so glad I followed kasi I don't go through hell going to work daily. No amount of money can compensate for the stress of going through traffic and PAGOD daily, yung papasok ka pa lang haggard na.

Problem is the first job you have to report for work no? E di stay ka na lang muna dyan sa job mo if you are working from home na rin

Napapaisip ako! Crush told me that management is really bending over backwards for me. I told him HR said na I can still change my mind and they can rescind my termination of employment because APPARENTLY management really wants me! She is included in the email trail pala na they want to retain me sa org

Crush asked me ano ba daw gusto ko? Bumaba si prophet Muhammad, si Moses or St Peter? HAHAHA! Malaki impact coming from crush kasi siyempre upper management perspective yan!

I've never commented regarding your dilemma, but I've read them I would go back knowing hanggang sa huli they told you that you can still change your decision. Ang dami mo na kasing pwedeng gawin that others would kill to be able to do sa work. Tapos we're in a pandemic pa kaya walang kasiguruhan ang maraming bagay. If they allow you to wfh, choose your own hours, it's a no-brainer. You won't find that anywhere else. Although nakakatempt din ang separation pay, pero ang bilis lang maubos nun. Baka wala ka pang kapalit na job nangangalahati nalang natira sa separation pay mo. Just my 2 cents.

Yun din nga sabi ni crush, he said "they are bending over backwards for you" Management DOES not do that even for executives kaya very unusual yung ginagawa nila for me. Kaya ayan kahit malaki yung package, napapaisip ako kung bumalik na lang ako sa work kasi very flattered ako sa importance na binibigay nila sakin.

Agree. Nung isang araw lang, may tumawag sakin looking for some senior developer. My skillset is what they need kaya lang kelangan ko pa magrender ng 1 month. Checked na sana isa sa bucket list ko kung napasok ako.
