    IMO... 4.6%/month is 55.2%/year.

too high to be true. or the bank is trying to raise funds for reasons they won't disclose...

    too risky for me.

    is that gross,
or is that gross - 20% tax = net ?

if it's gross, then it's just about the industry ballpark figure for bank special accounts. every other bank can probably match it.
if it's net, then, in my opinion, it's very good and you should go for it.

some of these banks do not openly advertise. one has to ask for it.

    doc,

net na 4.6 kasi 5.75 gross nyan.

Sa BPI meron every 35days 5million nakahabol sa 4.9 net naka lock-in ng 6months. Sa bpi kasi nagbabago yan every tuesday.

Kaya yung mga naglalabasan na corporate bonds na 18months eh napakatagal tapos halos same lang din or lamang lang ng kotit wala pa nga 1%.

    my experience in the past,
one bank would call and ask me if i was interested,
then a few days later, my other banks would call and ask the same...

these bank offerings probably stem from one same source.
the banks are given allocations from that one same source,
hence the pagkaka-lapit nang figuras nila.
they can't veer away too much from each other's figures, lest they price themselves out of profitability, or from the market.

doc, kaya sinuggest ko metrobank kasi ang minimum nila mas affordable sa middles class 500thou. Tapos ang maganda pa sa metrobank eh once ka lang punta bangko for fill-ups (investement) tapos every new transaction eh online na. OTP and CLick sa MOSE

Si bdo kasi mataaas na minimum sa new account kaya pangit na isuggest tapos pirma pirma pa kada maturity

pero maganda sa landbank mababa lang minimum tapops tatawagan once mature to rollover

    yep

Breaking news: The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) took off-cycle action today, hiking benchmark interest rates by 25 basis points (bps) to 6.5% to re-anchor inflation expectations.

Hinde naman libre un insurance component ng VUL. Kung ayaw mag opt out, may option to do the fund switch if the risk is too much to handle. Personally, if I am the agent at wala naman kailangan to meet product allocation, I will not sell VUL, napakaliit lang ng commission sa VUL kumpara sa traditional life insurance.

    pag sinabing mayroong risk,
    mayroong risk talaga!

if you want relatively risk-free, you have to settle for less interest earnings.
    ganun lang.

if the future can be predicted, then it won't be risk-free 'no more.

I have VULs with BDO and BPI. Parehong lugi so hindi ko na lang ginalaw so paper loss pa lang. Kids will eventually reap the benefits. Hehe

Got another form of life insurance though - Prulife PruM and FWD All Set Higher. With quarterly dividends of 4% to 6%. A lot better than VUL.
