Hindi naman actually. It still eats forage grass. Yun nga lang kailangan ay magtanim ka ng halaman na para talaga sa kanila like rensonii, indigofera, madre de agua, napier grass (kumpay), etc.

Kuha ko 18K for a 6 month old Boer buck. Yung sa does naman, kahit native lang or mixed crossbreeds. Mura lang naman ang price ng does.

Pwede na kaya 2 does and 1 boer?

Start up lang naman nila or kailangan kong damihan ang does para hindi syang ang boer?

    Ideally, 1:5 ang ratio. 1 buck / 5 does

But that depends on some variables:

i.e taking care of the animals, forage availability, housing, etc.

i know nothing about goats except for what i've seen on TV:

    - i caught a show on TLC recently, this guy was raising goats for milk. While his herd pretty much ate anything, he did plant specific herbs for them to graze on..he says it gives their milk a certain flavor.

    - some organic tea growers in China would let loose a goat herd on their tea fields. Goats don't eat the bitter tea leaves but pretty much decimates any other plant or weed in the area ^_^
