Survey lang.
During the franchise expo, I was enticed to invest my savings on one franchise.
But due to the hassle of getting permits from Government and Mall Owners, my wife and I decided not to pursue our ambition to leave the corporate world.
Blessing in disguise, those who availed the franchise(s) did not do well.
I will not mention the franchises names but below are the products that they sell.
1. Takoyaki
2. Mango Grahams
3. Fries with Drinks on a Cup
Possible reasons
1. Those takoyaki's are not authentic. Taste is different and the ingredients are mostly vegetables.
Original takoyaki has a strong flavor of squid. Still love the old "samurai" takoyaki.
2. Not advisable during cold weather months. Price is too much for just a simple mango, ice cream and graham.
3. Taste & Price. Although the competitor fries is a bit pricey, people specially children still like the taste and texture of the fries made by Potato Corner.

In general if the brand name is not very strong wala yan in most cases kayo na lang gumawa sarili nyong brand...
Dami nga nag franchise hoping for suckers to bite their pitch for a free ride... The real free ride is them having on you. Wala silang lost but you spend for everything and expand their reach.

pero the real money is in selling franchise to suckersLast edited by uls; March 3rd, 2020 at 04:07 PM.

Interestingly KFC is now opening for franchise... Now if you have the money these are the types you should gun for. Food carts wala yan waste of money if yan lang puhunan mo ikaw na lang gumawa sarili mong brand at sarili mong formula.

The Big M and Happy Bee is not also a guaranteed franchise.
I've seen some stores which closed down after a couple of years.
If you are familiar with La Huerta, Paranaque, you will remember that there is an M store in near St. Paul University which after 5 years nagsara din.
Same with the Happy Bee na pumuwesto naman malapit sa palengke.

In trying to keep the price down, kawawa franchisees kasi tumataas food cost and other expenses.

Huwag na kasi magpabola sa mga influencers. They're being paid to hyped products and service. Hahaluan pa ng mga millennials eh di nabola na lahat.

Ford kasi... it needs a lot of TLC. ;) Kidding aside, I don't know if other turbo vehicles have...
