November 5th, 2007 04:41 PM #14you're correct. but regularization does not always mean higher salary. (halos pareho lang ang sweldo at benefits ng sa contractual at ng sa regular employee.) ang concern ng mga kumpanya is ang hindi magkaroon ng union, and the inevitable rally's that cripple a company's operations. IMO, the main concern of management is to continue keeping doing business profitable. kasi kung hindi na profitable patakbuhin ang kumpanya, e bakit pa mag-business?
now what the business will do with its profit depends on that business' core ideology. (some use it for corporate social responsibility, others use it for growth, while others will use it to maximize shareholder return/dividend.)
i know this guy who runs a manpower agency supplying major corporations of manpower for their sales force. every 6 months ilinilipat ang mga tauhan sa iba't ibang kumpanya para hindi ma-regularize. minimum wage naman sila at may benefits (philhealth, sss, etc) kahit na contractual. ang talagang iniiwasan lang nila ay ang pagkakaroon ng union.

Kaka bilib ang mga batang yan. Yung iba sa kanila mga working students…I remember our days in the late 80’s to 90’s. my barkadas who used to work in jollibee while I worked in Mc Do and Mr. Donut alternately. Part time lang, kung anong minimum wage yun lang divided by 8 times the no. of hours. This friend of mine used his earnings to shoulder expenses for his projects while taking up architecture and later shifted to fine arts. Ngayon nasa Riyadh na siya working as director sa isang graphic arts company… nakapangasawa pa ng nurse and take note may domestic helper pa sila - kinuha daw niya sa embassy natin na lumayas sa among arabo….O.T NA BA?
