We're just comparing our experiences with BPI. I'm just stating my disappointment. It's not that easy to close an account.

Citi Cash back. Rebate- 6% on groceries and 2% on electricity... Up to a maximum of P1,250 per month per card subject to minimum of P10k on other purchases.

Wifey has one. I have one, too.

It actually is ... transfer funds to other bank and zero it out ... it will close automatically in a couple of months ...

Ok pa yan Doc, when you close it's still active for 2 years, a business has enough time to inform their clients.

I have no experience with ADA but it may not be easy to cancel it and arrange another ADA with a new bank.

I also don't have ADA but if you cut your CC, wouldn't the ADA end automatically because the transaction won't push through? Meanwhile, back to manual muna ang payments while arranging it with another CC.

Some merchants will ban you from doing ADA kapag nagdecline ang ADA charge nila.

Yes. Ang hassle kasi I have to go to the office kung saan ako naka ADA to change my card details. I'll do it this year para next year if BPI charges me again for AF, I will cancel na.

Auto debits are very easy to change ... besides, it's NEVER advisable to allow auto debits ... people are so lazy that they can't even spend time to monitor payments ... they don't even have to go to the bank to do that ... just check on mobile device ... one little system glitch an auto debit and you'll find out it's not a good idea ...
